Liverpool reserves beat west brom reserves 6-2 at the hawthorns with neil mellor scoring 4 goals!, what a return after coming back on loan from west ham

. Smicer also scored and Otsemobor played after coming back from his loan spell with Bolton.

Mellor score in the first team (if you can).
I'm not being bad but mellor will never get a chance under the current managment. If baros owen and heskey were injured pongolle and cheyrou will play up front. Its a pity really.
Good to see smicer back (we have really missed his pace,class and creativity in midfield). :laugh:

i always thought mellor was not given a fair chance. He is an excellent header of the ball. With practice, his finishing could improve.

He could have made a difference when Owen & Baros were injured ealier in the season.

I think Mellor will eventually be another Jon Newby or Lee Jones.

The omens aren't good after his West Ham debacle.

If you are not good enough to play for West Ham you should not play for Liverpool either. His has no pace, control and strenght. He is no longer a boy. All the best strikers were regulars at their teams when they were teenagers. Ronaldo, Raul, Trezeguet, Vieri, etc were all stars when they were at his age.

Never ever fancied him. A decent player but never got my bum of the seat. Would look good playing for everton.
