No where near - 1-4

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

The manager got it totally wrong, the balace of the team not right, to win games you need more that two strikers at one time, our defence Hapyia need replacing at once, he is no where near of last season standard!!!, big problem once again, however, the passing and running of the ball needing badly to improve, more hard work 110% from every player week in week out.

The gulf in quality showed up today. We have competed with them to a degree but if they turn it on we are screwed. You can talk tactics and formations all day long but the stark fact is that they superior players. We would have liked more quality but seemed unable or unwilling to cough up the cash in the summer. We just dont have enough. That aside, I dont think Benitez helpded with his pre match comments. Talk about red rag to a bull. Its not normally the way we go about things and my did we have thrown back tenfold this afternoon. We got our pants pulled down and we will just have to bend over and take it comrades   :sniffle

What about all the draws weve had this season already? When everyone else has got the 3 points and we got 1, we can laugh at everton all we like but I am very worried TBH this is our worst start in 13 years. Yes worst start in 13 years and the prem is a whole lot better than it was then, I am very worried cant wait to go out the CL TBH.

Did you watch the game?

Chelsea deserved to win, but not by 3 clear goals.

We made some mistakes today but I don't think it was an embarassment.

An embarassment is losing 5-1 away to Coventry, for those of you who remember.

Worst start for 13 years enough said really, first time weve conceeded 4 goals in the prem for over a decade, granted Rafa worked wonders in the CL and has done again thus far, but I have my doubt in the prem, and god help us when Morientes is back
I know most are pro-rafa here but come on take those rose tinted specks off, FFS my die hard Liverpool family and friends are all singing the same tune.
I am very very worried indeed, he doesnt want to be proven wrong, but so far this season the draws against teams we should be winning against making that excuse is not convincing me sorry.

Apart from the game against Sunderland, are our fixtures haven't been easy by any means. We should had beaten Middlesbrough but even a draw against them was an improvement over last seasons defeat to them.

I don't see us losing many games at Anfield this season, we lost to Chelsea but I think we're strong at home. On the road I think we have improved and will continue to do so.

I'm gutted that we lost but it's not the end of the world, it's a kick up the ar$e.

I meant  at home, this is a diabolical result and its not good enough, infact I am disgusted.

As much as i love Liverpool, honestly, losing to 4 goals,is a shame really. All the talking that Chelsea feared us & we can beat them.Be honest people with what u're feeling at the moment.Yes,i know that we should be positive for the upcoming matches but seriously there's a lot of work to do if we want to keep winning.

YNWA.

I hope Rafa will sorts it out & give Garcia a break & give Cisse a chance.

For God's sake - Grow UP
Can't believe the "one-match" "It's all over" posts going on.
For christ's sake, slap yourself in the face and start supporting Tranmere if you want a sad life that much
