Why do people always seem to include Ronaldo, when they are mentioning young talent that came through the ranks or whatever?? Ronaldo cost Man Utd  7 Millions Pounds or something like that.  :D

Anyway, it's nice to have some youngsters that we can get excited about at Liverpool. Didn't really rate alot of the kids when I did see them play, what little of to be fair.

I was referring to Ronaldo's debut in the Portugese league at age 16 for Sporting Lisbon. He scored twice in a 3-0 win over Moreirense. Red nose bought him for 12mil (I think) at the end of the 2002/2003 season.  :O

Yeah, he was practically ours almost until they stepped in!!! What a difference he would have made..

Anyway, still odd that you lumped him in with that group when talking about the English football front. So, he made an impact in Portugal and then got sold off for a ton of cash and is a star in England now. Not the same thing as Owen, Rooney, Milner etc. Mostly, but then again...not really. While it's certainly not easy to break into the starting eleven of a Premiership club at a young age, it's pretty common in different countries' first leagues around the world. In case anyone cares, Independiente in Argentina has a kid named Aguero who just turned 17 a little bit ago and has already broke into the first team and is scoring goals for the club. Supposed to be the next big thing. Lots of "stars" that came out of Argentina over the years, were already playing in the first division at 17-18. Not comparing leagues to one another, but yeah. Much harder to name youngsters playing for  "top" clubs in Enlgand at a young age and doing well. Whatever. Enough of this. I'm analyzing your little post way too much already. Not getting on you or anything, just saying.  :p

If that is the sum total of your view,( ie one line), was it worth a new thread ?

Whilst I'm glad there seems to be some young blood doing well for the reserves it does raise the perennial question about what the academy is up to. Where are the young scouse lads coming through the ranks? Where are the next fowler/macca/gerrard/owens coming from? Anyone got any local tips for the future?

Peltier had a decent game at center mid, while Danny o'donnell is becoming a better player at center half, Its true there is no great scouse talent among the reserves but Rafa has spotted this and brought some excellent young foreign players in by the looks of things, im sure Rafa is looking locally its just he said he wanted a stronger Reserve side this season and it looks like he is building one.

I know Barragan isnt a scouser but he could just be a little diamond of a player, he will become an adopted scouser though!

If I wanted to start a thread based on my view it would had been one line however thats not why I started this thread. It's a mere report on the youngsters from .tv.

Anymore questions?

I'm well aware that people can read this on .tv however I posted this on a DISCUSSION BOARD in order for it to be DISCUSSED. Is that so hard to comprehend, is it that difficult for you and Leon to understand?

Hence the reason why you should offer your own opinions, thoughts and take on the subject, thus forming the base of the proposed discussion.

Simply posting the article and saying "promosing start scored a goal" is not likely to influence a discussion.

Its simply a lazy way of getting your post count up and getting your name on the board.

I'm sorry but I don't have the time to write a two page essay on what can be said in one sentence. I already posted my thoughts on the reserves [note the first post of the thread], if you don't like it and or find it boring then too fucking bad. Don't read it if that's the case and fuck off to somebody else and bitch to them. I believe I've told you this on several occassions and I hate repeating myself. Let that be the last time I have to say something regarding your bitching. Thank you, have a nice day and fuck your self.

Reserves do it again, this time against Bolton. Barragan picked up an injury in the first half and we were losing 2-0 but came back in the second half and won it late in the game.

I'm sorry but I don't have the time to write a two page essay (as I am too busy fiddling with young boys) on what can be said in one sentence. I already posted my (two bit good for nothing stolen from another website) thoughts on the reserves [note the first post of the thread], if you don't, (like most people on this forum who also think I am a clueless know nothing tuncoat blagger) like it and or find it boring (as most people do) then too f[b]u
cking bad. Don't read it if that's the case and fuck off to somebody else and bitch to them. I believe I've told you this on several occassions and I hate repeating myself(although that is obviously not true as I keep repeating the same old americanised garbage day after day after day) . Let that be the last time I have to say something regarding your bitching. Thank you, have a nice day and fuck your self. (like I have to on a daily basis as I last was in contact with a member of the opposite sex the last time I attended a game ie NEVER)
