Me and my other half have been offered job's in the Canaries! This means we have to give up everthing here and move away for most of the year................
If you had the chance to do this, would you?

Hope you and yours keep safe.I have lots of friends in N.Ireland,Belfast inparticular Iwas on the phone to a couple of them before a bit like the old days.
And to answer your question Iwould be off like a shot,Oops might not be the phrase to use after todays events.

What jobs have u been offered? Whats the money like?What about aaccomodation? Weigh it up girl!
Personally id be away like 2 men and a wee lad! This countries starting do depress me bigtime its never gonna change! Do you have any kids Kazza?

Canaries v Belfast?

Go for it, Belfast is depressing as fu.ck just now. My mum and sister almost got caught up in the rioting near sandy row yesterday, had to do a u-turn in the car to avoid getting pelted.

Don't see myself staying in Belfast longterm either to be honest, it's not gonna change for another couple of generations at least.

We have been offered bar jobs. A friend of mine has been going to the Canaries for 20 years and knows a hell of a lot of people there. A couple of his Spanish mates are opening an Irish Themed bar there. Its not that bad. We'll get about £7.00 an hour! Won't know about somewhere to live untill we get there. Even if it's a one bedroom apartment we live in, I don't care!!!! At least we are guareented a lot more sunshine than we get here in gloomy Belfast :laugh:

As for kids, I have one. He's called Justin and he's17 in November. He has just gone back to school, but he stays in mum's most of the time as it's nearer his school. So I have no real ties to keep me here..........
It's just a massive step to take and it's something I have always wanted to do (except I wanted to run my own bar :;):

) So this would be a step in the right direction.

Personally i couldnt work in a bar as all that beer would prove to tempting and i'd be drinking the profits all the time!!
