The underdogs once again

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

we were underdog last year and see what happened. believe me, they won't want to take us on either. over a course of a premiership season they are more consistent, over 2 legs of CL, we can take on anybody.
Bill Shankly after beating Everton in the '71 cup semi : "Sickness would not have kept me away from this one. If I'd been dead, I would have had them bring the casket to the ground, prop it up in the stands and cut a hole in the lid."

I would have much preferred an easier group but agree the underdog status may suit us again. Funnny how we can be champions and underdogs at the same time. Just seen the dates for our champ league fixtures and they are probably not ideal. We start away to Betis (for me this is the toughest tie) and finish up at the bridge.

Have a feeling this group will go down to the wire.

Well Chelski are always over confident and every time we played them in the leauge or in the Champions leauge, we were better than them and also i think we should do well against Bettis, because Rafa should surely know a lot about them from his time in Spain.
