just about anything by the Coen brothers, especially Fargo and The Big Lebowski.
most David Lynch too, especially Wild at Heart and Mullholland Drive.
love sci-fi, especially Bladerunner and 2001.
then there's a load of others i love like Leon, jap animation like Akira and Metropolis, Intacto, etc etc etc - i love films.

but if i HAD to choose one above all it might just have to be Santa Sangre by the genius Jodorowsky.

Clerks, Watership Down, Casablanca, The Big Sleep, House of 1000 Corpses, Breakfast Club, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, Friday, Layer Cake and Endless Waltz.

The problem with choosing a fave film is that it is nearly always a case of Horses for Courses. Moods for Movies. :)

agree with you ace. 'whats you're favourite...?' is the hardest question to answer with any total certainty.

Boring answer but nothing will ever beat it.  Ever.  The Godfather, the most complete film you will ever see.  The book, the legend behind it, the making of it, the actors and the legacy it left.  You can't beat it.

If we're talking US gangster movies, although I agree with the Godfather being fantastic, I'd have to plump for Scarface. Pacino's Tony Montana is fantastico. I'll watch the whole film for the "say hello, to my little friend!" bit. Here's a bit of film trivia for you. While shooting the fully automatic rifle in that scene, Pacino actually sustained 2nd degree burns from the grenade launcher. And just to show how hard he is, he just kept on acting.

Pacino rocks   :buttrock

Godfather ,Scarface, Dog dayafternoon ,Serpico etc etc happy to watch that guy at work anytime . Pity that more recently his films have been a bit average whilst he as always has been outstanding.

I'm in a big Ben Stiller mood at the moment.  Obviously from my signature, Meet The Parents, nbut I have seen both dodgeball and Zoolander for the first time this week.

He is the funniest I have ever seen him in Dodgeball and as for Derek Zoolander, what an amazing comedy creation!!!  So stupid it's brilliant.  And what about the orderly he plays in Happy Gilmore?  The best character in the film!!!!!

Owen Wilson for me , that larconic, self centered, not quite in touch  attitude cracks me up.  :D
