the thing is shrimpy, leon IS doing what he thinks is best for the forum in his own way. there's been many discussions on here in the past about this subject which maybe one of the helpful elite members may help you to dig out if you're interested in going over it.

many of the elite members speak in a familiar way with eachh because we've been doing it for far too flippin long! but be assured, there is very very little real cliqueyness on here - it just looks that way at times.

oOShrimpyOo wrote:no, your wrong Woollyback. in his original post he isnt stating that posts should be thought about and catergorised properly, hes basically saying dont post on this forum and dictating how its run. how can i emphasize this enough, that is not in my opinion for the best interest of this forum. and the fact he actually posted that topic, surely he didnt expect no comebacks. its obvious your going to stand by him, but il let you know now, i gaurentee if i posted leons statement i would have got grilled by the likes of you.

this is exactly why moderators or whoever is in charge here needs a clean up. because for the best interest of this forum and for it to continue to be successful it needs posts, and im sure whoever is in charge here will agree.

Shrimpy I'm not interested in getting into a p!ssing-contest with you so I won't respond to comments such as "the likes of you" other than to say you don't know me.

I won't blindly defend Leon, in fact he and I have had our fair share of "heated debate" a while back, but when he goes on his rants he almost always has a point. On the issue of posting a link to another forum for example, personally it doesn't annoy me. Sure, it's a pretty lazy way of posting sometimes unless it's a topic which hasn't been done on here before and the member involved has something useful to add to it. Otherwise it's just a load of hot air

Do you agree with my point about "think before you post" to ensure topics go in the right section and existing topics are not duplicated?

oOShrimpyOo I agree that some members can be arrogant but that is usually because someone had made a stupid post.

I feel sorry for whoever put a lot of hard work into designing this site!! To see a bunch of childish coc.kheads constantly in slagging matches is pathetic to say the least! If people wanna bicker and talk pointless shi.te and try and constantly get one up on someone else theres a lot of chatrooms for teens online where im sure this is common place! Why not go on there im sure it would be more apt!
Imagine a UTD fan looking in,im sure they'd love to see Pool fans at eachothers throats! This is meant to be forum about LFC not a Bitchfest ffs!
Everyone at one stage will say something daft or disagree with a post but is it really neccessary to carry rows about nothing on for days??Bearing in mind that it meant to be for liverpool supporters all this meaningless sh.ite is a waste off space and DISRESPECTFUL to our great club! :veryangry  :no

I know we have moderators to keep tabs on the forum but regulars have seen many muppets come and go so if it looks like your gonna start making the forum a job then some people will be very sceptical about you, don't let it p1ss you off, post you opinion and be sensible with your opinions and you'll get respect, I've been posting for over a year and I still haven't got respect yet :D

yeah a couple of the longer serving members/older members are very arrogant at times, believe they are better than most members and claim that other members have never been to a match, dont know anything about football or LFC because they have a different view to them etc. They can post whatever they want without anyone saying anything bad about it but when a newbie posts something they dont like then its lets have a go at the newbie time, luckily i didnt get very bad treatment when i joined but ive seen it happen many a time, people like Leon always talk down to other members, make them look like sh!t, they will start a topic and he will make a comment that he believes is clever and "witty" because he believes it to be a bad thread, if he doesnt like it then why read it. simple as that, he is always right no matter what and has no room to listen to what other people think. this goes for others as well though others are not so bad.

this only goes for a couple of members and the majority of people on here are good people to discuss topics with, have good views and are willing to listen to your views and have a discussion so before everyone gets angry with me and starts an argument what ive said probably doesnt apply to you and this forum is a brilliant place to discuss LFC with the members being very knowledgable and mature and is the only place i can talk properly to fellow fans, the place can never be perfect so im happy with how it is

The peasants are revolting I see :D

As any forum grows as this one has over the last 6 months there are always going to be issues about who posts what and where.

It's worth saying that on registering you do get a code of practice and a few pointers as to how to contribute best to the forum and thats patently being ignored by members. For any forum to run effectively for EVERYONE there has to be order and rules on how participants conduct themselves or there is chaos and we usually reserve chaos for Friday nights !!! :D

People are always going to have personal issues with each other but to be honest the majority of these spats could be dealt with via PM's but I suppose if Shrimpy feels that strongly about this and any issue for that matter and feels it deserves going public on then so be it but equally we all reserve the right to disagree with him , thats debate and opinion in action.

Finally lets all remember what we can all agree on , a mutual appreciation and love of Liverpool Football club, except Dom and Chelsea forever of course (and other various weirdo's):D

Well said Dalglish.
I can see why Leon gets annoyed sometimes, but just as he sometimes overreacts, I'd say Shrimpy has done the same. Don't get into the "us and them" mode, cos it'll only lead to trouble. Discussions aren't about agreeing with people 100% of the time.

I think when anyone new comes here, they don't really know what to expect and it does make it easier for a heated argument. But once you'd been in couple of debate, you generally have an idea about the kind of person he or she is. Whether you agree with them is your decision but try not to take it too seriously. I remember when AB first started here, he started so many topic and was arguing with just about anyone but after awhile, everyone know what to expect of AB and things are just fine now. (Sorry AB as I think you are a good illustration, hope you are not offended by it  ) Just take it easy and I'm sure you will enjoy this forum just as much as the rest of us. :)

Chill out, people.

This forum is a medium to get Liverpool fans (mostly) from all over the world, not just in Merseyside to post and discuss opinions. Nobody should diss anybody personally and it it reaches that level, the best way is to totally ignore the post and the incident should die down, unless some people here hace in the past (and perhaps still doing so) go on and have a running battle with the other member who he/she feels as a quarrelsome rival and exchange taunts and insults in every thread they come across each other.

I have really enjoyed posting here and have personally become friends with a genuine Scouser who has been working in my parts of the world for 3 years.

Post your opinions/views and get on with life. If people like your views, fine. If not, get on with your life. There's no need to rubbish an opinion or view over the top with personal nasty remarks if one does not agree with another's opinion. Just say so and perhaps mildly being sarcastic but not OTT. No racism either.

The moderators were right to completely to ban Hustler because of what he said - that's uncalled for.

Generally, PEACE for all and YNWA.
