Cos its wot the world wanted! And in the aftershock of wot happened in london its a great time 4 them 2 declare peace when the whole world is watching!

Sinn Fein/IRA have come to the negotiating table because the bomb's and bullet's are not working anymore!!! They want The Good Friday Agreement and a "United Ireland". The only way they are going to get it is to talk!
AS JBG posted earlier, Sinn Fein are on the rise, but with the murder of Robert McCarthey, people have began to doubt them!
The IRA have to much to loose by "going away". They make a fortune every year from rackateering, drug dealing and protection. The same thing happened 11 years ago! When this happened, everyone in west Belfast was on the streets celebrating!!! Where were they this time? A TV reporter was on the Falls Road shortly after the announcement and the road was empty! Maybe they are bored with it all to!!
As for Sinn Fein being on the rise in the Irish Republic! They do want coalition with the Irish goverment. If they have a legit political party in the south (which they have) and they get the votes, they can get the seats they need and maybe become President of the country! And then what happens? They have their talks with the British Goverment and then....... Well we all know that one, "A United Ireland" Thats what they wanted all along!

As for Loyalist's, Their MP's have been sitting around the table for years. They have had talk's with the British Goverment! They have tried to get the Assembly off the ground, but Sinn Fein always stalled! If it was'nt the RUC, which they got changed to the PSNI because of the connection with the Queen (Royal) it was something else! And it always will be something else. If they don't get their own way, the bomb's will come out again but the name off the people that do it will be different!
The British Goverment have bent over backwards for Sinn Fein over the years. Orange Order parades that have walked in certain places for many years have been stopped. The flying of the Union Jack is now sensitive. Many murderers have been let out of jail after serving a fraction of their sentences (and thats both sides!) What will be next?
As I said before, I don't believe them and I don't think a lot of people do. We will just have to wait and see.......

she sold off the countrys infastructure so now the japanese own our water and half the world own our powerstations. even though she sold of the rail industry to her cronies who make large amounts of cash the public still have to pay out for track upkeep etc.
she even had the cheek to offer shares through t.v adverts to people who had no jobs when she knew the only people who could afford to buy them where her supporters.
remember one of her cronies mantra`s? unemployment in the north is an acceptable price to pay for prosperity in the south?

Her policy failed miserably when she adopted the shoot to kill tactics (like the gibraltar fiasco)-gaining the republican movement worldwide support. She always said -you cannot negotiate with terrorists, but Blair did and it hasnt turned out so bad now has it....

Nope! It sure has not mate,the IRA are quiet! British people in N.Ireland can actually get on with they're lives and live like they want to!Irish people in N.Ireland can have an identity and be irish if they want! All quiet on the Western front!

It's true that we can now live in some sort of peaceful way, but going by the newspapers this week, I'm still not to sure

If Mr Gerry Adam's wants peace in Northern Ireland, why did he invite a terrorist who supports the suicide bomber's, to speak at Feile an Phobail yesterday??? This woman, (who I'm lead to believe is a Palestinian plane hijacker) was talking via video-link from Dublin!!! She even claims that "the bombers are not terrorist's, the are freedom fighter's"

If they want peace, why invite some one like this their Feile? Surely there was other people they could have invited?
