The main problem with this site at the moment surrounds the use of the rumour thread.  This is the source of many of the current arguments (myself included)

While some people do make ridiculous posts based on players we've been linked with (and there are plenty), I feel that not all rumours regarding players should go in the rumour thread.  The links with Crouch, Kuyt, Reina and a few others are more than just paper talk, and deserve threads of their own IMO as there is plenty of scope for debate (and that IS the whole point in the forum)

On the other hand, starting a thread on Guti for example is ridiculous as it has been mentioned once in one tabloid

Overall though, I don't think the rumour thread is working, there are too many random posts and it is impossible to have a good debate or any banter with anyone in that thread as there is too much going on and it is not focussed on one topic.

I would rather people just started their own threads on rumours, if they are cr@p then don't reply to them and they'll go away, simple as.  Most of the endless rumour threads are started by members who are pretty new to the forum so lets give them a break until they learn the ropes.  At the end of the day we are all logged in here for the same reason and the more support the site gets the better.

Bit.ching about where threads go is really starting to pi.ss me off, and others too I'm sure.  Lets try and get some agreement on what should be done here.  Views??

You got my vote JC.
Sometimes the free for all is what really makes a good site . i know that sometimes it's a pain to read 3-4-5-even six threads on the same subject but as you point out if we ignore the dross it soon sinks to the bottom . Sometimes an all encompasing thread just goes around and around without any point or direction . Anyone who has been in the REAL WORLD thread will be familiar with the "CHAOS THEORY AND THE ART OF BEING COMFORTABLE WHILST YOUR BRAINCHILD IS BEING IGNORED"

For christs sake lets stop taking oursekves so seriously .     :bump

heh, You've been saying that for the last year anyway  :D
I think this is a good site, but there are way too many people with nothing to say, and if you make a reply on a thread, look back at it a bit later, it's very hard to find your post because of how active this place is.
There are a lot of pointless threads too, just look past them instead of fretting over nothing.

Can I use this space to ask, why so many deleted threads recently?
I'm not talking about just those stu has made, but many others including a couple I've tried to make that had content that wasn't on here before, and did not belong to any other thread.
Rather than deleting couldn't you consider locking the thread with a post to explain what is wrong with it?
