Huge congratulations from Sunderland. You really showed the passion of your club last night and made the whole of the country proud.
I watched the game with a Liverpool fan and I had to console him at half time as he was completely distraught. I couldn't find many words of encouragement except "All you can hope is that they believe and give it a go" Well they certainly did that.

Looking forward to next season and once again visiting your great ground and seeing your fantastic support at the SOL. If I remember rightly Liverpool was our last victory in the Premeirship, how things changed? Hopefully we can emulate more of those perfomances next season. Liverpool should be an inspiration to a team like Sunderland, obviously we are a long way off but it shows how much a good fan base and the pride and passion of playing for such a club can be the difference. We just now need our own Carragher, Stevie G and Xabi Alonso.
