I have seen many reasons why we will win the European Cup this year, millions are floating about, but now, by popular demand, here it is, the full hit, the full monty, a place for each and every omen, sign and reason why we will win the European cup.

The previous time we won the UEFA Cup - in 1973 - we won the European Cup 4 years later.

We won the UEFA Cup in 2001...

Every time Juventus have played an English club in the old European Cup or Champions League, one of the teams has gone on to reach the final.

In 1973 Juventus beat Derby in the semi-finals, before losing to Ajax in the final.

Their triumph over Liverpool in the 1985 final was rendered meaningless by the horrors of Heysel, but in 1997, 1998 and 1999, they came up against Manchester United.

Twice the Turin club triumphed, only to go on and lose in the final, and in 1999 United claimed a memorable victory in Turin on their way to winning the trophy.

Juventus saw off Newcastle on their way to the 2003 final, where they lost out to Italian rivals AC Milan, and in 2005 their English jinx continued with Liverpool.

1976 - Sir Bob wins the UEFA Cup followed by the European Cup in 1977.
2003 - Maureen wins the UEFA Cup followed by the Champions League in 2004.
2004 - Rafa wins the UEFA Cup.........?

In 1981 We Finished 5th Made The League Cup Final and Won The Cup
When We Concede to A German Team at Anfield We Always Win The Trophy
In 1984 a manager in his first season wins the European Cup.
And controversially, a midfielder wins his last trophy with us before leaving for pastures new for money.
The last time a pope passed away (1978) & the last time there was a new pope LFC became European champions.
The last time Wales won the Rugby grand slam (1978) LFC became European champions.
The last time Prince Charles got married (1981) LFC became European champions
The last time Ken and Deirdie from Coronation Street got married LFC become European Champions

(Snooker) Last time we got to a European Cup Final, a rank outsider called Dennis Taylor beat the odds on favorite Steve Davis to win his first World Title - This year a 150/1 outside won.

Winning our fifth cup on the 25th (5x5) of May (5th month) 2005.

And it's the same date as our first in '77. (25th May)

Omens mean nothing. It's our first chance in 20 yrs to win it and it's our only chance to turn a poor season into an acceptable one. So lets hope we go and win it

Omens might mean nothing to you but do they mean anything to footballers? Was reading a Tomkins article on RAWK the other day and he pointed out some of these 'coincidences' plus went on to say how footballers are just about the most superstitious bugggers (same goes for all sportsmen/women on the planet - Just look at Ince coming out last and putting his shirt on as he comes into the stadium each game or a player wearing the same boots untill he fails to score as examples. Sportsmen will take any little psychological edge they can get.

Fans are just the same - I have sat in the same pub (Oneils) in the same place (to the right of a pillar - flatmate sat the other side, always on the left) for every champions league fixture since the Olympiakos game. We get there early to get the same spot and even avoided the pub for the Arsenal game incase the winning run in there stopped.

Blo.ody crazy i know but i'm superstitious when it comes to football. Players are no different - They've read all these coincidences. I can see Stevie.G and Carra picking up the paper, takning in the details and thinking - Shi.t, can ya believe that? maybe this is our year.

Whether you believe omens/superstitions or not, they are a big part of society. How many of us walk under ladders, don't think "oh :censored:

" when a black cat crosses our path, etc? Not many I'd guess. It's in human nature to be wary of totally absurd premisses. Lets be fair - I cack myself at the sight of spiders! We're not talking tarrantulas, or black widows here!!! I live in England for fricks sake!!!! They're about as dangerous as drinking water!!!!lol!!!! Never the less, I still hate the little beggers. I know that I've digressed somewhat here, but the basics are the same. I am superstitious, I have rituals before and during games, but I ain't going to disclose them incase we lose!!!! Up the 'pool!
