I'm mostly responsible for Owzat and Big Al leaving, I'm afraid.

Owzat took himself waaaaaaaaaaaaay too seriously. He had a go at me for the Premium Member forum, saying that we shouldn't let guys like Stu in or other guys Owzat disagreed with. I got sick of him and dumped some of his new threads that he started in the then new section back into the normal forums (you'll remember Owzat started about a dozen new topics a day). He took the hump and hasn't really been back since.

Big Al leaving was a major misunderstanding. I wasn't a moderator long and I deleted one of his topics accidentally instead of moving it. I apologised to him and while he didn't leave straight away, it was the begining of the end.

Owzat is no loss as he was a MAJOR whinger, but I'd like to see Big Al back here.

He had a sense of humour.

Old Red Eyes was a gent, he seemed to disappear not long after I joined (not something I said I hope

)

I also warmed to Big Al as soon as I came on here

Not seen Stan Laurel for a bit either

Stan Laurel posted here for a couple of weeks around Christmas if I remember correctly.

Occasionally you get a real blast from the past, like RobtheRed, who posted yesterday (he's a member since June 2003) or HistoryGirl, who used to be a moderator here!!!

Oh how standards have slipped

I think much like the team, we'll see a bit of a summer clear-out. Not much goes on apart from countless crappy transfer rumours and we won't even have the Euro championships to keep us busy this year so I can imagine a fair few members drifting away. I did it last summer and only came back after a pm from Leon... so you've got him to blame for my presence

GreenRed left after multiple rows with Stu that became far too personal. Big Al came back briefly with a ficklebuggers post and then left again. John Bull seemed to leave after the Hustler bet. More recently Big Mick hasn't been here too often.

For all his faults Owzat could teach Motty a thing or two about statistics .

Old Red Eyes was class, judgin' from his reminices he was knockin' on a bit (even older than me

) Wonder if the ole fella is still alive ?

Good but sad point.

I remember PM'ing him ages ago and asking for a notification when he'd read it, but obviously, he hasn't even logged back in to check those.
