Vieri would do a very good job for a couple of years. The man is an Italian Shearer - powerful, skilful and clinical.

Past it in Serie A, playing against Juve and the like is different to being past it in the Prem IMHO. He certainly was a player out of the very top drawer and might be worth a punt provided he'll accept imaginative terms. How about a basic 10k a week plus 80k per goal. Score 20 goals in a season and his wages would be around 2.1 million or about 40k per week. The likelyhood is however that he wouldn't get out of bed for that. Shame because it might just get his juices flowing, a bit of end to end attacking football in the Premiership before he packs it all in. Someone should give him Klinnsmans number.

nah, dont want him. all these so called big name players that were superstars in the italian league never seem to produce the goods when they come over here.........crespo, casiraghi (though he got a bad injury),viali etc.
people just see a name and think of the player in his prime, plus these fella`s usually come packing a big ego and are prone to throw strops. if we lost baros and brought this italian / australian prima donna in i`d be well ****** off.

For next season we need a world class defender as a replacement for hyypia even though he has served us brilliantly over the years , He's getting on a bit . Any suggestion for defenders .

can we stop linking players that are over 30? It is very dissapointing to keep hearing players that might be heading to Anfield in their 30s. We need fresh young blood, if we are looking for a long term success. And I believe RB knows that. In regards to those players linking with a move to Liverpool. I do not think it will happen.
