So, Rio Ferdinand and Quinton Fortune have rallied round to defend Roy Carroll. Well, he’s proved he can’t do any himself.

Northern Ireland’s second choice shot-dropper (now there’s some credentials) proved he couldn’t catch a cold in Alaska by fumbling a shot straight to Crespo – a late Christmas present from a soon to be late Christmas Carroll.

Elsewhere, Peter Kenyon has been sent to Mothercare to pick up some more dummies for Jose Mourinho to through away. That was after the Chelsea Messiah walked in on the ref and the Barca boss doing something really disgraceful. That’s right, saying “hello”.

The battle of the goalkeepers between Munich’s ‘Can’ and Arsenal’s ‘Lemon’ proved to be as predictable as it sounds. Still, at least the result was a good one for the Englishmen – that’s Bayern who at least fielded one!

Liverpool surprised everyone on Tuesday when everyone realised they were still in the Champions League. Even more shocks were in order when they went 3-0 up over Leverkusen, however, Dudek soon returned parity when he put in another entry to his own Bloopers DVD – soon to be a Trilogy.
