Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

From LFC.TV

Djibril Cisse has revealed he is well on the road to recovery after the horrific broken leg injury which has wrecked his season.
Cisse is definitely sidelined for the rest of this campaign after breaking his leg in two places at Blackburn in October, but he says he's happy with his recovery so far and is looking forward to stepping up his rehabilitation programme over the coming weeks.

He said: "I can walk now without crutches. I can do more exercises with more weights. I can do squats with a lot of weight. I'm doing the bike every day but I can't run for the moment.

"Maybe in one month I can do that. It's getting better. It's good. It depends on how I feel after I start running. I might say one month but maybe it will be two months or two weeks."

Cisse has been a regular at Anfield since his injury struck and he admits he's started to enjoy supporting the team from the stands.

"It's very difficult when I see them play," he said. "Now it's okay but before it was hard. I enjoyed it but it was frustrating for me.

"I have missed a lot of big games, like Manchester and Chelsea, but I've been like a fan. I support my team."

Does anyone know how he is really doing? I believe this article, but it could just be lfc.tv's way of adding to the euphoria.
Mourinho was customizing his flashy blue racing car -- applying the finishing touches of go-faster stripes, aerodynamic spoilers and a fat f@ck you exhaust -- while on his red car, Benitez was trying to glue together a broken chassis, repair bodywork and replace burst tyres.

this is great news I dont Know if you all Knew that he was told 6 weeks ago that he might not ever be able to play top flight football again.
so this is great news and shows how wrong doc's can be.
he has had a few complications but looks like he is getting a lot better fast.

I wish him all the best. Hopefully he'll be fit for pre-season which is important if a player is to be sharp for the new season.

Hopefully next year the debate will be "Cisse, Baros and Morientes are all banging in goals, who should we leave on bench"

This does sound very promising

he was really unlucky getting the injury that he did, not just a bloody standard "one clean break"

I suppose the only good thing was that the whole management team were resigned to losing him for the season
So he shouldn't be rushed back, now we have Morientes
I mean how often do you hear of players coming back from injury and then breaking down again.

Get well soon Djib

Wow. The rate he's going, we might even see him in the Villa game on the last day :D
He sounds possitive and he can come back from that (have you seen the x-rays?) with a possitive attitude like that. But will he still have his speed? Even after a whole season, I'm not sure if we'll see that lightning pace again

Agree , these are world class strikers , but it’s seems that we also need world class midfield and world class defenders.

Van NistleRoy was injured for a year before Manu finally got him and I think he is a fantastic goalscorer. Hopefully Cisse will be the same.

Hahahah. "Hack-hack". Sorry. I have a cold. I don't get it, but welcome to LFC discussion board.
