Baros - Something positive.

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

wasn't he fantastic when he came on? If we'd won I wouldn't mention it but I'm searching for a positive and he provides it. He looked exactly what he is, a top-class striker playing against inferior opposition. Brilliant and I hope when Cisse is fit next season, Morientes is banging the goals in and we've probably signed another front-man that we don't forget 'ol Milan. He's carried our front-line this season.

Milan has grown in stature this season, and I am made up for the lad, he deserves it.

Despite his obvious short comings, (head down running) he is definitly working on them, and he is really maturing into the type of player we always wished he would.

He has come a long way from the goofy chubby skin head we first signed.

Baros looks dangerous every time he has the ball which speaks volumes about his attitude, work rate and skill. His last 2 appearances as sub have been immense and have been a pleasure to watch.

With the right coaching from Rafa he could be a major success for us in coming seasons. Hats off to Houllier for recognising the lad's talent and perceviering with him

I agree completely, Milan gives us something that only Gerard does and thats direct running with the ball. He's doing a superb job for us.

I missed the game but the lads improving without question.

Still a long way to go but he's getting better. I think he needs to learn to do damage in different area's tho as apose to the flanks aswell.

As i say though, Rafa knows what he's doing and he is definately getting there.

He probably stood out last night Stu due in equal measure to the paucity of quality on display from both teams, but boy did he stand out. He brought urgency, class and determination to the proceedings and came close to getting us back into it single-handed. I'd go as far as saying that if he had played from the start I think its extremely unlikely we would have lost. Having said that, so crucial is he to our plans right now I wouldn't have played him either.

Since Owen left Baros has just got better and better ,maybe thats just coincidental maybe not . Baros has been excellent 90% of the time , long may it continue.

Benitez and the rest of the coaching staff have done an extremely good job with Baros. Baros is improving and playing better than ever. Kewell was also making good progress and hopefully he will continue to do so once he recovers from his injury.

i think Baros has taken the mantle of being the clubs number 1 striker well, he has coped with the pressure and is starting to produce consistently. He still has his flaws that have already been well documented, but i reckon he is begining to develop in to a real "star" player

I've been impressed with him since the days when Heskey was out there and Baros and the bench, everytime he played he looked dangerous. I could never understand the constant criticism he got on this site (I know his awareness needs to improve), the guy is a goalscorer and has done it on the top stage unlike Thieri Henry.

Baros had done it at the Euro champpionships, Henry has not performed at World cups, Euro championshipes or even Champions league knock out games.
