but seriously their could be lots of reasons why serious posts have gone down, I myself come here to find out current news about LFC and talk to people that are supporters. I only know of one person personnally that likes Liverpool. I try to say things with a serious manner, but not all of this forum is bent on seriousness, alot of it is in having fun and talking to people about a common interest.

thats why i did that season so far thing in the Advanced froum. lately all of the posts in General discussion have been bloody transfer rumours.

Thats probably one of the bigger problems

People more interested in point scoring at others and boosting their egos rather then discussing the Pool.
I also think the alter ego invasion did some damage when it start polluting the football threads.
I would expect it would be fairly quiet at this time of year though wouldnt it , everyone is writing their Chrissie lists

General Discussion gets clogged up with repeated posts which many of us just can't be a*sed reading, like another Gerrard thread or another Morgan thread. Some of that is due to new members joining who simply don't know there's already a million and one threads discussing the same issue they've just posted. That can't be helped, I did it when I joined as I'm sure most of us did. That's just a product of the forum getting bigger and bigger and I don't know what could be done to address that

But a lot of it is due to pure laziness from members who should know better, rather than look for an existing thread they'll just start a new topic cos they're too lazy to dig out the original. When you've read one, you've read them all and I end up going in general chat cos everybody seems to be on the ball

I probably sound like a right w*nker spouting about all that, I'm as guilty as anyone of retreating into posting random bollox in general chat instead of actually putting some thought into a proper LFC post. I feel a New Year's resolution coming on

I just think that everyone has lost sight of what this place is all about. I was a member on this board for 4 or 5 months before I ever even read a post in General Chat, now that place seems to be the default forum.

Very few put the effort into posting in LFC: General Discussion and most of the posts there these days aren't worth reading, like some kid has sent his post by text message. Only a couple of months ago people were writing huge essay like posts in there, sadly, many people now seem more concerned in getting their total post number up to ridiculous levels through spam.

The fighting and egos here sometimes is just soul destroying. I went through the archives in LFC: General Discussion and the amount of potentially good threads ruined by a couple of jackbooted, goose stepping loud mouths is obscene.

i thought this bit was for tom foolery and the main bit up there was for serious football, which i think has been happening, got the xmas blues jbg?
sometimes on here it does get very annoying but its difficult for the ewbies (me included) because its also very clicky. thats why a few arguaments start i think.
theresa lot of rumours but its becuase of the january window. theres also a lot of reptition but thats because a lot of people have very strong feelings. and do we support liverpool? of course we do, or why would be here all the time?

I am quite embarrased at my post tally over the 5000 I only noticed it last night. In future I will stop posting smileys and rubbish.
Even though I enjoy some laughs in general chat.
