I like the look of Pennant and I think we'd pick him up pretty cheap :)

Would definitely be a positive, and would help keep Stevie happy

Quote from an unofficial Deportivo website

VÍCTOR SÁNCHEZ COULD GO
Winger Víctor Sánchez (28), at the club since 1999, once again has been related with a move away from Deportivo. The ex-Real Madrid player has a contract with the Galician club running until 2006, meaning that either a renewal must be concluded in the next months or the player must be sold in the summer of 2005.

It’s unlikely that Deportivo will want to let him go for free one year later, especially not because of the €7,6 million which have been invested in him at the end of the previous century. Atlético de Madrid have been related to him for a while, like Bayern Munich. It’s also said Liverpool offered €10 million for him just before the summer market close some months ago.

Maybe Rafa's going back to Spain for a winger ??????

Looks good too me but the problem will be next season when we get all our strikers fit looks like mellor will be off unless he scores like 30 more goals. If we get morintes and anelka we will have
Morintes anelka baros cisse pongolle maybe mellor + garcia

how the hell do we expect to keep 6 or 7 strikers happy ?

Morientes Cup tied
Anelka not Cop tied

Surely this will have a bearing on any decision.

Also the captain seems to be in the Anelka camp. Dont know whether or not this would have any effect on Rafa's views.

The league is the priority, if we don't finish in the top three we won't be in the champions league next season cos we ain't gonna win it this season  :(

*cough* top four, not top three.

Who says we can't be ambitious? well i guess there is a fine line between ambitous and crazy.

To get Anelka would be perfect move but very expensive : Manchester City still owes 5,8 M euros to PSG that must be paid on the next transfer and MC will expect somme benefits on that transaction

like i said earlier on another forum anelka and morientas is what we are missing at moment not scoring our chances we can worry about other positions at end of season as we are coping ok there but we need these two top class scorers in jan so we can push on and finish top three and like i said with anelka desperate to play in champions league who knows how far we could go.i think take morientas on loan until end of season then give him good deal and we could get anelka for 8 million in jan we dont have much to play with then likes of mellor diao henchoz may be traore diouf can all go between jan and at end of season then see where we are and sign some more quality.

Keep your mits off our best players you lot  :p

Anelka has been superb for us. He saved us from going down last season. 25 goals in a team close to relegation is pretty good going. He has worked hard for us and his attitude has been good. He is rarely injured and has done well given the poor supply he has been given at times.

Most City fans appreciate Nic and there is no way we want to lose him. I have been following City since '76 and I would go as far to say that he is the most talented player I have ever had the fortune to watch in a City shirt. SWP is our most valuable player at the moment but that is becasue he is only 22 and has a more predictable personality. Nic has matured in the time he has been with City and if I was to be fair on him I would say that he should be in a Champions League side. I could not blame him for wanting to be playing at the very top level because thats were he should be.

The most disappointing aspect of his game has been his partnership with Robbie. In the main they just havent got it together at all.

After saying that the Robbie we are seeing at the moment is a much sharper version than previously. He has had a really good month for us and was one of our better players again yesterday and he and Elk linked well for Barton's goal. The last 18 months will be well and truely forgotten if he continues to do it for us from now. I have always given Robbie my full support and now he is beginnning to win others over - even the ignorant moaners - Go on Robbie!

Recently Liverpool have been linked with Barton, SWP, Elk and Robbie. Here is hoping that we keep them all :)

Difficult to say really isnt it.

Like I say we all hope not, but because he is class and not cup tied he must be a target for Champs league sides so yes we might see him go.

BWP does look a good prospect and if Elk goes he might find himself in the side sooner than he might have thought. Our best young prospect is 18 yr old defender Nedum Onuoha, he looks absolute class and may well be replacing Mills at RB with any luck.

What we really need at the moment is a left sided midfielder any suggestions? :)

Because Anelka has ambitions to play in the Champions League it is very likely that he will leave.

Mills defends well, but going forward he is very poor. His distribution is appalling and he gives SPW no support at all how he has played for England I will never know.

Another 4-1 would be lovely - fingers crossed.

Cant say Im very happy with Everton's position at the moment. We also lost 1-0 to them this season, but hope to turn that round on boxing day. Lets not have Everton finishing above Liverpool, hey!

Thought that you might want to give us Kewell  :oh:
