Mourinho rejected liverpool

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby A.B. » Thu Dec 16, 2004 10:43 pm

In Mourinho's book "Jose Mourinho-Made in Portugal" Mourinho describes how Liverpool missed out signing him last season because they failed to make a direct approach. He was approached by an agent and a secret meeting had been set up that Mourinho rejected to concentrate on Porto’s Champions League game against Manchester United.

mourihno always claimed to be a liverpool fan, saying that he admired the way they played football when he was growing up. he was originally on a shortlist of five to be our new manager but he eventually was lured by the big bucks of chelsea, mainly due to a bottomless pit and the fact that kenyon and his cronies virtually stalked him everywhere he went for a couple of months.

never mind. despite winning the champions league, i was always more impressed by what benitez had achieved in a much harder domestic league.

we got the right man and i stick by that. :)

Somehow I don't see maurinho as the type who would move from a CL winning team to a team who has to rebuild with not much cash.

At Chelsea, he has, for perhaps the first time in his managerial career, a club with a lot of money and he doesn't have to rebuild slowly with little money. The fact that he is pure class, I do not doubt, and now that they have a brilliant manager at last, Chelsea stand a very good chance of winning top honours this season.

I also believe that Benithez is a classy manager and that time will tell for him at Liverpool.

chelski's succesor is not jose but albramovich....
they was mde by money then converted it into victory but we're totally different from them.
we're just jump out from our incredible history then start our journey.
Reds is the sacred colour before this world was born.
