No I think this was the first time that we couldn't kill off the opposition at home. The amount of games we've played in a week must had some effect on the players.

We lost an opportunity to make up lost ground but it must be remembered that we did not lose ground on our rivals this weekend (aside from Everton).
Looking back on it all when Cisse, Baros and Garcia all got injured within a few weeks of each other, we all looked at December with dread. I know the Olympiakos and Arsenal games gave everyone a huge boost, but our injuries have evened out the results for the end of November and start of December.

And just to point out the obvious:
15 points behind Chelski (out of the title race in Decembre again)
11 points behind Everton (the blueshite for gods sake!)
10 points behind Arsenal
6 behind the scum, who are probably laughing (6 points behind Champions league as well right now)
4 points behind Middlesboro (ahem, middleswho?)
This isn't good enough, not at all. I thought we had learnt how to handle the smaller clubs at Anfield now, but we were awful 1st half, and missed too many chances when they came, like usual.

We fans can afford to think of the picture this way. But if our team thinks likewise too, I had start worrying.
Judging from how we have been playing, winning would not have been a hinderance or a mountain to climb. Why so that we are not churning out the results that speaks of our improvement. We were really caught napping a few times already. The players need to wake up. They have yet proven themselves as top 5 in the league yet. Team spirit, concentration, winning mentality and consistency. We need all those back.
