That would be Peter Schmeichel but I'm almost certain that he scored again in the Premiership...I can't remember if it was for UTD or Villa.

Interesting Pool trivia....

...which Irish Gaelic football star was given a trial by Roy Evans in the mid 1990s but failed to make the cut?
Jolly Bob Grumbine.

turns out we are both wrong owzat. There is no team in the league that has the right to wear home kit when playing away. Its just an old wives tale.

During the 1990's 10 different players scored hat-tricks for the club, can you name them?

Richard Money : Defender (1980-1982)

Date of Birth: 13-10-1955
Debut: 13th September 1980 v West Bromwich Albion (H) Football League Division One: won 4-0
1st team games: 17
1st team goals: 0
International caps while at Liverpool: none
International goals while at Liverpool: none
Other clubs: Lowesoft Town, Scunthorpe United, Fulham, Derby County, Luton Town, Portsmouth, Scunthorpe United
Honours with Liverpool: none
Birth Place: Lowestoft

Defender Richard Money followed in the footsteps of Ray Clemence and Kevin Keegan in being a former Scunthorpe player to move to Liverpool, but unfortunately he failed to make anyway near the same impact in a Red jersey as his illustrious predecessors.
Signed in May 1980 from Fulham for £50,000, perhaps his best memory of playing for Liverpool was when he played in the European Cup semi-final against Bayern Munich in Germany. Although the game finished in a draw, Liverpool went through on away goals to face Real Madrid in the final.

After a loan spell at Derby County, Money was sold to Luton Town in April 1982 for £100,000. A spell with Portsmouth followed before injury forced him to prematurely curtail his playing career and he has since managed Scunthorpe and worked as a coach at Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest and Manchester City. He is currently at Coventry City.
