I've made this point several times, and I stand by it. If he was in a wheelchair, I'd play the Fowler of today ahead of Kewell, Pongolle and Mellor up front for LFC.

If you told him that he had a shot of being up front for LFC in January, you wouldn't see him anywhere other than the training ground or the gym between now and New Year. When you've had half of Liverpool chanting your name for over half a decade, how on earth could Man City even hope to make him feel like he should put extra weights on the bar at the gym, or run 2 extra miles first thing on a Monday morning?

Andy Johnson? Robert Earnshaw? James Beattie? Put them in front of an LFC crowd in the middle of January and they'll be playing in front of 30,000 muttering fans asking what Rafa was thinking. Put Fowler in that position, and the fans'll be worth a 12th man on the pitch.

Robbie Fowler + 1 year LFC contract = happy fans
Happy fans + Robbie Fowler = goals + a top atmosphere for the rest of the team

It would be a great story, 'fallen hero returns to reignite past glories' but its fairy tale stuff. Robbie stopped behaving like a professional before he left LFC and his heart went out of it the moment he got to Leeds. Its too late to turn it back now. I would not be surprised if the lad retired in a year or two. Tis painful to watch Robbie now compared to his 'god' years.

I agree with Scottbot, I don't think he has much left in him now and why would he want to taint the memories he has when he was here during his 'god' period.

Lets remember Robbie for all the good times he gave us and look to the future

We might think of re-generating Stan Collymore aswell  :D  :D  He scores plenty in his book  :D  :D
Sorry, for the Toxteth folk hero Robbie, but for various reasons it didn't quite work out last time and it would not work now.

Robbie wont come back, even if we went in for him.

As a player i think he has shot it, still very good but he knows he will never be "the best" again.

But how good would it be if it DID work out.  Allow yourself to entertain it even if it is the most unlikely thing.

It will cheer you up.

Ian Rush still plays seniors and trains everyday.  Maybe we could give him a run.  Ray Houghton on the right until Nunez gets fit!

:D Nice one Robbie you beauty two fngers up to the mancs
ROBBIE FOWLER is facing an FA rap for his gestures at Manchester United fans.

The City striker enraged a section of Old Trafford with his hand signals as he warmed up during yesterday’s 0-0 draw.

City boss Kevin Keegan says he did not see it and claimed Fowler gets stick from United fans.

He said: “You should hear the stick Robbie gets from United fans because he played for the three teams they hate — Liverpool, Leeds and now City.”

Kitman Les Chapman appeared to be sent from the dugout by a member of City staff to stop the player making the gestures.

The incident failed to overshadow what Keegan thought was an excellent result for his side.

He claimed it once again proved to United boss Alex Ferguson that there is more than one club in the city.

Keegan said: “I heard Sir Alex say he considered Liverpool to be their local derby. But we’re doing well against them.

“We’re in this city and we reminded them of that
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.
