..... I cycled 122kms in 4 hours 11:28, a 'round the island' tour of Singapore . Absolutely shagged by the end, average speed 29.1 kms/hour. My legs gave way at 102kms and I got dropped by the other 8 lads I was with, with my neighbour noblely staying behind to ensure I made it home. My legs were totally shredded afterwards and after a shower and a bite to eat I went to back to bed... at midday!

Its a great sport cycling, but I've done and thats it, never again!  :buttrock

Skiing kills your legs, I don't do it enough to develop any sort of resistance to the fatigue that skiing brings. Love it though.

Agree skiing kills your legs, sadly it doesn't snow in Singapore - nor do we have mountains!

I'll be in Singapore in a few months on a business trip. Probably combine the trip with a visit to Shanghai also.

Yeah bet the humidity is a killer there.

It was 95% here the other week at 33C. Could hardly breathe when taking a not so brisk walk.

The sweat comes off in a steady stream, I drank 4 litres of fluid before, during and until my first drink when I got back and staggered into the kitchen. Its tough training in these conditions but very rewarding, when I finished, my pulse and breathing returned to normal within a minute etc... As you say, I'm no youngster but its all an investment for the future. You young whippa snappers should take note and look after yourselves better.

SCS - let me know when you're coming mate and I'll get Maxypaxy to come out for a pint.
