Andy Carroll signs for West Ham

Borini would actually be an improvement over Carroll. He will be more compatible with Suarez. I can't believe how some of you are so worked up over Carroll. He is an average player, similar in quality to Heskey. One good header in Euros doesn't make him world class. Trust the manager to do what he thinks is right for the team.

Did you watch the fa cup final or semi final when he ran riot. Or the Chelsea game in the league. How about the man utd Fa cup game where he had De gea Sh!tting himself.

Its not one good header its the back end of last year and the potential he has shown and mostly the fact that its AC milan who treated us like mugs with Aqualani and the fact they want to loan Carroll

Carroll is still a Liverpool player and has over 3 years left on his contract - still plenty time to shove some people's words down their throat.

Borini ( if he arrives ) could flop massively

suarez as good as he can be still needs to work on his own failures from last season so it isnt all one way.
we still need more than 2 strikers here to be successful and while borini might compliment luis better on the ground it doesnt have to mean its the end of carroll.it just means andy plays less and is 3rd choice and then its up to him to raise his game when given a chance and force his way in.
rodgers never said he was interested in getting rid and although he does favour the short passing game he did say he would be looking to better utilize what we had and andy showed enough towards the end of last season to be a part of that.

i will be well p*****d off if carroll goes out on loan and we bring in this borini, are we only looking at players rodgers has worked with before? are we going to get back to the top of the game by signing ex chelsea youth team players and ex swansea players?
signurdsson? cole? kalou? borini? allen?
is this jobs for the f**king boys or something?
give me the big geordie any day of the week and if dempsey arrives at this club rodgers for all his words in the press conference is a yes man.

It would surely go against The FSG plan of trying to sign Younger players. Carroll is 23 ?? i think he could be fantastic if not this year then next. Look how he bullied Man utd Chelsea last season.

that all goes out of the window when they are trying to shift shirts in the states mate, i`ve seen our owners in interviews saying it would be great if we signed an american player because it would make liverpool very popular in the states, they added the usual sh*te about first and foremost he`s got to be good enough to justify his place in the team but if we sign dempsey it`s nothing but a fan recruitment drive in the states imo.
if dempsey arrives rodgers will drastically go down in my estimation, all that i`m not a yes man sh*te in the press conference.....talk is cheap brendan lad.

I've seen Carroll for 1 1/2 seasons now he's not gonna shove anything down anyone's throat... At best he will be the same level as Heskey nothing more... He will score 16 goals in his best season and the rest of the seasons it'll be a mediocre tally of 6-11 goals per season...

carroll is like john toshack, it`s not just about the goals it`s about what he brings to the team. look at that game against united in the f.a cup, not only did he set kuyt up for the winner he set him up for another even better chance a couple of minutes later but somehow kuyt missed.
when all our so called star players were walking around wembley feeling sorry for themselves and looking at their bootlaces in the biggest game of our season who was it that didnt believe we were beaten? who was it who scored the winner in the biggest derby game in over quarter of a century?
football is not just about ability it`s about character.

Yes we know you have nailed your colours to the mast - you will just concentrate on the troubled times with us ignoring the time before he arrived and the last couple months.

Getting 16 league goals will be a great return - getting 10-15 league goals is what i think most will expect - then you get other players chipping in. And its more than just his goal return its the panic he will also cause - you ( well not you because your mind is made up and you will ignore aanything that goes against that ) could see the problems he caused when ever he played during the Euros

I dont think people like you take into the consideration everythin surrounding the transfer and the weight of expectation.

He was a young local lad playing at his local club - doing very well and al of a sudden he gets snapped up by one of the biggest clubs in football for the biggest fee for an England player. In a matter of days he is having to leave his local city and move - whilst carrying an injury and replacing an idol at the club - it took him time to come to terms with everything - there is no set time for how players settle but Carroll is showing signs of turning that corner - yes it took a while but he has shown he has the ability to be a very good player for us - you of course will ignore that all.

Dempsey has prob reached the peak of his career when at the age of 29 he had a good couple season s- now his career can only go down - he wont score that many goals again.

he`s just another paul stewart or leonardsson, they scored goals for mid table sides too, once they came here the weight of the shirt was too much for them.
with him being 29 / 30  as well it`s just so obvious that he`s coming here because the owners want a recruitment drive states side.
as i said talk is cheap brendan lad.

Not my point my point is you said Brendan would go down in your estimation if he signed Clint Dempsey so i was pointing out if Dempsey had a great season like he did last year would you stick to that opinion
