but it`s got nothing to do with finding the best manager for LFC this whole process has been about finding the best yes man for FSG.
i honestly couldnt give a sh1.te which one of these 2 gets the job and thats not bravado i just honestly dont care anymore.
the 2 of them should be nowhere near the job just like they`d be nowhere near the chelsea, united, city or arsenal jobs.

whilst I agree with the sentiment I think we need to understand the current position of LFC, we haven't competed in the CL for a number of years now. Why would a seasoned CL manager come to Liverpool where City and Man U have two places tied up and Chelsea have the resources to make sure they get there? It's a big ask to get us back to the pinnacle of European football, I know we've achieved a lot in the past but I'm sure most managers would go to a club where they have a really good chance of adding to the cabinet.
FSg aren't going to just throw money into the club ala Roman and the Sheikh, they're trying to balance the books and offer us a sustainable future but with no CL, its about having to do more with less. Chelsea, United, City and Arsenal wouldn't go for our targets because they have more to offer - not so much Arsneal but thats another story

You dont know that. What kind of company do you think these guys run going by their handling of the Red Sox? Do you think they want someone whos going to politely nod and maintain Liverpools current mid table obscurity or someone they feel will help the club to strive forward and enable them to maximize their investment?
PLEASE STOP MAKING ASSUMPTIONS THAT HAVE NO EVIDENCE TO BACK THEM UP.
If six months down the line the Reds are sitting in 9th and Martinez or whoever takes the helm looks totally out of his depth then let fly by all means but until then please let them pick their candidate in whatever way they see fit, you are becoming a one man conspiracy theory on FSGs ulterior motives and no good is going to come of it

a seasoned CL manager? i`m pretty sure i know a seasoned CL manager who has won the thing, got to another final and got to another semi final beating the likes of barcelona (at the nou camp when they were reigning champions) real madrid, inter milan, juventus, ac milan, chelsea, arsenal, marseilles, psv, bayer leverkusen (when they were german champions) and many other teams who would love to manage the club.

So now the seasoned manager becomes only Rafa - so basically you're complaining that Rafa isn't being touted? Rafa's the only seasoned CL manager we can (realistically) attract but there's so many obvious dangers in appointing him. Coupled with the fact I remember the misery of his final season at Liverpool. I'd love Pep or Klopp but let's face it its against us

capello has won the CL and so has van gaal, why not make him manager instead of giving him this DoF role that he doesnt apparently want (he wants to manage the team) and doesnt work in england?
as i said you cant possibly be telling me that those 2 are the best names a london consultancy firm can come up with for a team that has won more european cups than barcelona. there are only 2 clubs on the entire continent of europe who have won more european cups than us mate, and if you take away real madrids 5 in a row from the late 50`s when the competition was by invite we`ve won more than even them too in the modern era!

Come on mate that's 5 European cups won in the past, you want to assess the chances of us winning another one before Barca, City, Chelsea, Man U or Real? Get real
I love LFC and pride myself on the history of the club but we'll find it extremely difficult to attract a top manager based on what we've achieved in the past
