agreed, I'm actually worried that we may not get him due to the perceived lack of transfer control. The first thing he would/should do is bring Moses with him.

we`ll need moses mate but not the fella from wigan we`ll need the biblical one because quite frankly we need a miracle , do you think the likes of suarez are going to hang around a club showing practically zero ambition whilst our rivals are being linked with all the top names? FSG are trying to do this on the cheap, buying up and coming players under valued by the market or in other words moneyball.
it wont work imo, this aint newcastle, the fans arent going to be prepared to sit around for 5 years watching all their star names leave and hoping we might stumble across a side of medium priced `stars`.

the whole process is turning into a sham.
getting turned down by martinez is embarrasing if true and makes you wonder what kind of structure fsg are looking to implement.
and now the circus is moving on to brendan rodgers

apparently rodgers now wants to meet with the swansea chairman this afternoon, it looks increasingly like he is our next manager, swansea fans seem to think it`s a done deal as well, dont know f they`ve heard a whispher down there or what

How do we all feel about Rodgers then? I quite like him, seems a good choice to me.

it's getting to the point where i don't care which one of them it is JUST GET IT DONE!!! we need to get in the market for players before the Euro's inflates the prices.

But whoever it is we need to give them our full backing and allow them to change the team to the way they want us to play. it may take us sometime to adapt but we need to live by YNWA for the duration of next season

I dont know that much about him but he looks like this seasons flavour of the month manager.

martinez imo is a better candidate than rodgers.
i hope fsg are saving the big names for the background team thats going to lead this club forward.

It's a bit hard to remain positive when you see Hazard going to Chelsea, Podolski to Arsenal and Kagawa to Manure. Have to agree with Reg in one of his posts where he said that if they should have had a replacement lined-up instead of searching for a manager during a period where the club should be enticing players to join us. Hopefully by the end of this week we'll have a manager. Would be great if it is Van Gaal.

I don't get this... the most important person is the manager... the background team's not gonna do Sh*t but maybe bring in good promising players... but at the end of the day it is the manager who sets up the team and tactics...

martinez didnt give much away when the ssn reporter approached him at the airport earlier.
id be surprised if he isnt still in the running for this.
