Actually, didn't someone say Martinez took Swansea up?

As for your other point, yeah, Rodgers did behave well if there is truth in the rumour. A shame though that dignity dosen't win trophies whereas the lack of it can, ie Chelski/Torres.

But more and more i'm warming to this whole rebuilding process. Mostly because we as supporters appear to have no choice in the matter, and a love affair with LFC lasts forever. No matter what happens, we'll all be back if we're genuine.

No Rodgers took Swansea up they have only been in the league 1 year and Martinez has been Wigan manager for 3 ?

Out of Rodgers and Martinez only a fool would pick Rodgers. Martinez football style is alot better. With the funds he would have an exciting team the only problem is i dont know if he could attract the players we want. Hence Van Gaal as DOF apparantly the DOF or Sporting director will have as much say in trasnfers as the manager.

I think the job as manager is now only between Martinez and AVB its quite clear as these two just keep coming up again and again. With Martinez having a second interview tommorow i think martinez will be new liverpool manager by the weekend

Writing off managers before they enter the position? Classy supporters I see, must be the same ilk as Chelsea supporters. Beggars can't be choosers, the fact we have been rejected by managers of 'smaller clubs' says everything I need to know about the state of our club.

We are now open to ridicule by almost every teams fans in the prem and suffer the humiliation of media pi'ss taking while FSG are waiting to make a decision.
I am absolutely gutted to be honest[/quote]

Why do care about what oppositions fans think of our club? Also, haven't we been the butt end of opposition jokes for the past 20 years?

i honestly hope it isnt martinez, for a start it`s unfair on the fella, i live in liverpool and i`m yet to come across anyone who thinks appointing him is a good idea. not one single person. the evertonian`s are even joking about it which doesnt help liverpool fans warm to the idea.
if he is appointed people will get behind him initially but i hope for his sake that he gets off to a good start because i sense the same atmosphere surrounding the idea of him being in charge as there was when roy arrived.
kenny being replaced by someone like martinez wont go down well.
anyway it`s FSG`s decision.

We always had the high ground because we were above everyone, morally as well as physically
I looked down on every other clubs and their fans because we were superior to them all, and with good reason. We were winners and admired and revered because of how we behaved on and off the pitch. We kept everything in house and won things on merit and not by cheating or chicanery.
Looking back we were TOO good and now we are being brought down a peg or two and it hurts. Especially if you have been used to being co'ck of the walk for so long.
Youre right, I dont really give a sh'it what others say, but it doesnt help that they have a point and we are now in a vulnerable position where they can attack us.

It's on twitter that AVB has agreed to become Liverpool manager and will be announced as such on Friday apparently the Portugese press are reporting it.

Andy Hunter of the Guardian reports tonight that AVB has not been approached for an interview by the owners as their interest has cooled in him-

I know who I believe. I'd be amazed if there's an announcement this week on the next manager.

We are in a vulnerable position to be mocked and insulted by opposition fans, but that's life - I take no heed of what other fans have to say about the football club I support. I've yet to meet a Manchester United supporter from anywhere that isn't as obsessed with Liverpool as our own supporters, even their manager loves talking about us throughout the course of the season and yet according to them "we're sh*t", so "sh*t" that United fans cannot wait to talk about Liverpool. In fact I reckon United fans discuss us more than we discuss ourselves, that says everything I need to know about our club. We might be underachieving by our incredibly high and at times unrealistic standards, but we're still the biggest club in England. Sod what other fans think and worry more about what you think. United fans and Chelsea fans maybe laughing now, but will they still be laughing in ten years time?

They won't be laughing next season when drogba feks off. Whose gonna get the goals and drag them through lean times and hard games? Torres? Don't make me laugh.

Chelsea are on a downward spiral. They have so many players coming to the end of their career its going to take a nice sum to replace them. With Drogba gone they are more or less f*cked.

You go on about your right to an opinion, but when someone else posts theirs, this is your view of them. In this post you call us beggars, and claim we've been rejected by managers of 'smaller clubs', then you accuse those of being unhappy about LFC being viewed as "beggars" of being Chelsea-esque in their support. Classy.

All this "mid table" sh'it is embarrassing and I wish some people would get a grip and see how silly they look with these pathetic comments.

We're not top four and haven't been for a while. So while you may think it's "embarrassing" the league table says otherwise.

When it comes to LFC, Im an optimist at the worst of times, but there comes a time when you have to open your eyes and see what is going on.

Perhaps you were right when talking about taking risks with managers - certainly gave me food for thought.  :)
