The new man needs to put his stamp on the club and outline a blueprint for the future  ,and that will start when we see what calibre of player he elects
to bring in to the club . Its just a tad worrying not to say perplexing that with all the top clubs already earmarking players that can enhance their
respective teams quest for honours .... We find ourselves manager less and completely rudderless 

Beergoggles, we Were a successful European club were not anymore, not every potential manager sees us the way fans like u do, our last 3 seasons in the league where did we finish?? What managers should be jumping off their seats for us? Mourinho?? Guardiola?? Get a grip!! Managers won't leave good projects and teams in champions league for us! Anx what's with the abuse and bad language, can u not debate it like a sane fan?? Numpty!!!

regardless of who the manager is he will get the support .
how long it lasts though depends on the man,his style,his influence and most importantly the results.
if he is out of his depth it wont be long showing and if that happens then we are back here in this same position next year.
regardless of whether you personally want rafa or not you cant argue that we would be closer to cl football with him than martinez and in a far quicker time.martinez COULD be a good manager but i dont see why he should get this job.the fact that some have accepted that we should give a manager a shot simply because he managed to stave off relegation 3 years on the trot pains me.the pressure he had at wigan is abso-fucking-lutely nothing compared to whats here and it has to be delivered imediately.giving him this job would be like going from mailroom boy to ceo in a year.
you want a young manager well there is far better out there than him,deschamps and rijkaard would be much better options and will have no bother getting respect and they have done it elsewhere which is the most important thing because its what we need.what we dont need is to be a guinea pig for some up and coming manager who might never make it.

even from a neutral point of view what the hell has martinez done in his managerial career to compare him to someone who has won every domestic trophy in this country including 4 league titles (with 2 different clubs as well)
not to mention put together a side generally regarded as one of the most attacking and entertaining sides ever to play in the english game.
even this year he got to 2 cup finals and won a trophy.
just because martinez has drew a few f**king diagrams and talks a good game he`s now better than dalglish?
kenny won the double back in the days when they happened twice a century.

Sorry ICEMAN, that last one was a joke. I'm against Martinez, but agree with much of what you say. However, I think Martinez is too much of a gamble when right now we need real stability on the pitch. Martinez could work, yes, but there's an equal chance that it won't. If we take Martinez though and the gamble fails, we'll be seen as taking one last punt, a gamble on a little known, unproven, bargain basement manager. This will have a big impact on our image, laying one more straw on the camels back.
Taking perhaps Capello, or maybe , Rafa, or at least someone who's presence dosent say "all the good ones turned us down" would have much less of an impact with the manager taking much of the heat.

The claims that we won't support the new man if he's not who we want isn't really valid. Most, if not all, shout for LFC, no matter the manager. A terrible run of games, bad form, whatever, will be met with equal disapproval, no matter the circumstances.
