Sorry ICEMAN, that last one was a joke. I'm against Martinez, but agree with much of what you say. However, I think Martinez is too much of a gamble when right now we need real stability on the pitch. Martinez could work, yes, but there's an equal chance that it won't. If we take Martinez though and the gamble fails, we'll be seen as taking one last punt, a gamble on a little known, unproven, bargain basement manager. This will have a big impact on our image, laying one more straw on the camels back.
Taking perhaps Capello, or maybe , Rafa, or at least someone who's presence dosent say "all the good ones turned us down" would have much less of an impact with the manager taking much of the heat.
The claims that we won't support the new man if he's not who we want isn't really valid. Most, if not all, shout for LFC, no matter the manager. A terrible run of games, bad form, whatever, will be met with equal disapproval, no matter the circumstances.
