Rafa's CV stands out - he is proven , his expirienced and he has achieved exactly what the owners want and on a regualr basis

He hasn't done it for a while and getting into the top 4 is a lot harder than when he was in charge, you could also say kenny's cv stands out more, he had actually won the league, done the double and probably would have won the European Cup as a manager if we had still been competing in it and if you want to carry on about cv's isnt Capello's even better

But who says the club have no direction at the minute? Cos big mouth Dave Whelan blurted the Martinez thing to the press?

I don't think people realise that not all the players are rafas biggest fans, gerrard for one prob wouldn't be delighted for him to come back!

Who is looking after the football side of the club then seeing as we currently have no manager or DoF ?

Plus no comms officer , no PR officers , not even a club lawyer.

Gerrard played the best football of his career under Rafa - Gerrard is not Liverpool FC - he has done zero since Rafa left - he did wonderfully last time he gave his recommendation of Hodgson didnt he.

Yes Capellos CV is great - no one has said it isnt.

Kennys CV also did stand out but it was in the 80's - Rafas is current.

He is the standout candidate beyond the dream world of Guardiloa

Whys that though cos Rafa wasn't saying how great he (Gerrard) was evey game, Rafa did actually sing Gerrards praises a few times too, Rafa is a perfectionist and that what makes him stand out as the only realistic best man for the job.

I'm afraid we will have to agree to disagree Benny, I really wanted Kenny's appointment and also wanted to give him more time but it wasn't to be, so I don't want to look back now, just look at all the other clubs who's managers have returned, never really works does it.

But all the players were complaining of Rafa being cold and distant with them, and not once saying well done to a player!

Ian ayre isn't a mug I'm sure he knows how to run a selection process!! That's not an invitation to slag the media spotlight haha!

Replacing Alonso with a crocked Aquilani was not really perfection was it

You know the "4 wins in 6 months" thing can be easily viewed as "and then he completely turned the team around to beat Liverpool away, Arsenal away, Utd at home, thrashed Newcastle at home and got absolutely robbed away at Chelsea by two ridiculous decisions to get Wigan from rock bottom to avoid relegation by seven points and finish the season behind only the league champions in terms of form.

POSITIVITY PEOPLE!!  :D

That's the problem with a lot of people they are blinded by their loyalty to DALGLISH that they can't judge or assess his performance over the last 12 months logically! He had some good results and won us a cup final which I attended and il be eternally grateful for that, but overall his performance has been pants!

Naturally fans are jumping on the media bandwagons and questioning the owners for not having a manager lined up straight away or ridiculing good young tactically astute managers before they are even appointed! The owners are well within their rights to tell the likes of spirit of shankly group to go stuff themselves and not have to consult them on private future plans for the club or stadium! They will be consulted IF necessary and when there IS news to report!!

Seriously ?  So you're stating because we're all so apparently blinded by the man's legend that we all failed to ascertain that this season in terms of
the Premiership  has been one of abject failure ? ....Get fucking real . We know full well what needed to change next season ,but it wasn't
the manager ,and the simple fact that most competent managers and those that possess a modicum of intelligence are all spurning the chance to
take the helm of the most successful English team in European history tells its own story .

I'm guessing when we do end up with Martinez because the list of managers with a degree of credibility has run as dry as a fucking nuns crutch, then
posters like you will go missing again .

Ian Ayre is a businessman - he is not a football person

Martinez currently is a young version of Hodgson - 4 games in 6 months.

I bet the players weren't complaining when he was getting them into CL every week and boosted their profile

A couple players slated Rafa publicly - Reira is one and Yossi another, mainly because they didn't play week in week out

Capello went back to Madrid a second time and won the league.

Alonso was going and Rafa had the full amount of the Alonso money taking away from him meaning he had to take a gamble on Aquallani of which we paid in installments
