see that we are still being likned to Pep Guardiola, a few tweets saying that he will talk to the club, well hope they are true, lets face it he is better than all the others on the list.....wonder how much the owners would give him to spend, it must have to be something like 150mil to even to get him to think about taking the job.

Better than all the rest being mentioned but needs 150 million to get him going ? THAT MAKES NO SENSE !! How does that make him better?

like a few others in here i`m not overly convinced guardiola is as good as he`s made out to be, after all he had an unbelievable squad at barcelona including one of the best players ever.
saying that he is a huge name in the game at the moment and i think he`d attract a lot of big name players to any project he was involved in, appointing him would lay down a marker informing the rest of the footballing world that we really mean business.
i thought he genuinely looked tired and haggard at the end of his time at barca though so i actually do believe he wants a break from the game.
they showed a picture of him from when he first started at barca and compared it to him leaving and it looked like he`d aged 20 years.

"The fans gathered around Anfield with a clear message to the owners To bring Benitez back to Liverpool !"

Is this true?

Probably. I can imagine it to be so.

Quite frankly I think any talk of Pep or AVB are simply false rumours to offset the negative reaction of being linked with Martinez and the Swansea lad. I suspect we have zero chance of getting either. The owners have pitched the market segment they are investigating and that, I reckon, is that.

we're talking to AVB and he's said he's interested. i have a very strong feeling its going to be him, and i really worry about seeing him crouched on the touchline with that 'what should i do?' look on bis face.

Rumours have circulated that a counter demonstration was held around a computer in a small bedsit . The internet fans have demanded a "no return for Rafa" and 100% ticket price increases.  :unclesam:

Other than Benitez this is the one name that's being mentioned that makes me excited , please get the man now  :buttrock

Unfinished buissness  :grinning:

ive got money on Rafa though

the think is any links to Rafa are just from fans,he is not on the list.

I think its very funny that you leap in and dismiss any specualtion or link to Rafa getting an interview as false gossip YET dont do it with any other name mentioned and in fact swallow it up whole

Your anti rafa bias shines through wonderfully currently and as well as Rafa being the best candidate for the job it would really ***** you off as well.

Benny your are 100% right in my anti rafa bias  and i have no shame in that, i was that even before he took up his post the first time.

yet if you saw the ssn news bit when they spoke to fans outside the club only two of them said they would have Rafa back and that was only after sky asked them about him.

the team needs to be built to win the prem and not the CL.

kenny knew the way to do this was to build a team based on british players, something Rafa will never do.
not saying Kenny got the right players but the idea was right.

Wow - getting the info from guys speaking to Sky - look around the forum and look at the polls and one name stands out - Rafa

To win the prem you need to get into the CL first to attract the top players - which manager has a proven track record in the CL - the fact you had an anti bias against him before he even arrived speaks volumes when you look at his record.

As for this buying British players is something Rafa wouldnt do can you please explain their purchases of both Keane and Johnson ( two of our biggest transfers ) and also the continued pursuit of Barry.

To win trophies and get to the pinacle of European football and the Prem you need to get the best footballers irrelevant of nationality - Man City bought a couple , Chelsea have a couple but their teams are based around the foriegn lads. Rafa got the best footballers to come to the club - FACT.

I think they are looking for a manager that is a good team player and working with
others but Benitez is a man that enjoys total and complete control.

They wont employ him as he has a history of falling out with his employers and
kicking off when funds are not made available.

He even started making a scene with the Inter president for funds after he managed
to destory Mourhinos all conquering outfit with his own ego by completely changing
the style of play just to put his stamp on the team to its detriment.

You cant move forward living on memories and amongst ghosts from days gone by and
every time we do it just sets us back even further.

If we hired Rafa it would make us look absolutely ridiculous, a club unable to change
and living out some field of dreams fantasy because we cannot disconnect from the
past.
