we need this sorting out one way or another quickly. Eden Hazzard is in talks with both Manchester Clubs. If we get Pep as boss he'll come to us. COME ON !

I just want our new manager appointed as soon as possible. The uncertainy surrounding managerial changes really does my head in. It's just constant speculation, constant nonsensical drivel being put up by journalists and supporters a-like.

A couple of good points there "most managers need to have people working hard in the background as part of a team to generate success.its rarely down to one man alone.".

Without a good structure in place it doesn't matter who we bring in, teams become successful when they build the right structure and give it time to work.

Rafa tried to get the structure right in his early years but H&G took over and dismantled everything and we haven't recovered yet.

FSG seem to have realised this and are trying to put a structure in place with who they consider the best people for the job, things have changed so much lately that perhaps a fresh approach is required.

Martinez is being dismissed by most but he could do well with the right team around him. He was the one who laid the foundations at Swansea, he got them up into the Championship and got them playing their nice style of footie. One negative point perhaps, he played over 100 games for both Swansea and Wigan so knew both clubs well.

I also remember us struggling when Pako left and we didn't come 2nd until a couple of years later.

Just a thought but what about Rafa as DOF ?

Not Pep or Rijkard plaese.

They managed both and made their name managing Barca. No offense, but most would be successful with such a  talented team.
And Rijkard has been a disaster ever since he left and I doubt Pep would be a success at all.

Rafa Benitez.

He was my choice in 2004, he was my choice in 2010 and he's still my choice, he'll always be my first choice. The man is a legend! Come on FSG, appoint the Benitez and let's do things the Benitez way and let's make this club a success on and off the pitch.

Tbh, I think it's ridiculous that the board want to speak to about 10 or  12 people.  It just show's that they are still finding their way. They should be knowing what they really wanted way before they sacked KK, and pull out all the stops to get them...... Whose advising them anyway ? Totally worried over the whole situation.

Personally I think if Benitez is out there, available, no contract to be paid off and genuinely wants the position I think it would be folly on the part of FSG not to at least consider him. He knows full well he's not going to get the same level of control as he had at the end of his last tenure and that is actually a positive in my eyes - get him back to "concentrating on coaching and training his players"  :D

What worries me is the Swansea guy even having been approached, we're pitching the job at completely the wrong level of candidate. Its stadium time because no serious player is going to risk coming to LIverpool with a Billy No Mates manager no ones heard of. CL footy... not in my lifetime.

we don't know anything. The only people that know are sat sorting this mess out right now. For all we know they might have just signed up Capello or AVB or Martinez, right this minute. But we won't find out for ages yet. Could be Rafa too, know one knows but the big kn@bs at LFC.

As I see it the only thing that could really ruin it for Rafa is his level of wanting "power" over everything. I also think they want someone they can control. He consistently got us into CL which the owners seem to care most about. The things certain of our fanbase didn't like about him when it comes to transfers would probably go down nicely in the owners view... making money.

I can't really believe that people connected to our club went out and dissed the national cups like that. I might agree with them that they have lost importance but to say something like that is just stupid.
