any other similar bands you could recommend with a female lead? i do like The Agonist, Lacuna Coil and Epica.

oh them. Serj is no longer the lead singer isn't he? there's an awesome track which he did called Empty Walls. otherwise, the only other track which i like is Lonely Day and Chop Suey.

Loads and loads :D Nightwish had two singers. Personally I prefer the first singer, though the second has a fiiiiiiiiine voice too. Check out some of these below for female singers:
