He missed a sitter?

More time and more space! It wasn't a high class premiership defence was it? He took the goal very well and hopefully it will give him some confidence. Just a pity he couldn't score with his head from five yards when he was under no pressure.I want to support him but he really isn't great is he?

I want to believe this  :(

I want us to find the next Owen/Fowler/Hunt/Daglish or Aldridge. Why don't we give Raheem Stirling a go for example?

Great prospect but from what Ive seen he causes problems with his pace and dribbling but struggles with end product, hopefully that will come but I dont think the first team is the place for him yet. Maybe if we were winning 3 nill every week but we need someone who`s going to be starting every week, someone who can get us back into the top four.
Thats going to cost money, we need to get this one right!

I'm torn with Andy, I want to back him and prove he can be worth what we paid for him but so far he isn't even proven to be worth half of that

If Carroll hasn't demonstrated his worth on the field its because he hasn't on the training ground either.
Rafa was thought to not play players out of spite or because he didn't 'like' them but Kenny isn't like that, he's not playing because he isn't good enough. Lets face it, Suarez is crying out for a partner, Carroll simply isn't clicking or Kenny would be playing him every game.

15 million though... jeez, bring back Torres for 15 and it will take away the pain but to lose 20 million plus 6 months wages.... disaster.

i wont mind taking of 15m loss on Carroll if i am sure that he wont make it here,
but nobody can be 100% sure of that, it will be most likely for Kenny to relook this at the end of the season.

currently Newcastle is losing Ba for the African cup so we may reach a deal,
and the barcodes are only willing to offer 15-20m cash, i will want Ba in the deal too.
15m-20m + Ba will be a fair deal.
if Ba, with a proud injury record got injured in the African cups, then barcodes will be left with Alan smith as the only striker.

Lol,We are not getting 15 million plus Demba Ba. You are dreaming if you think we have any hope of that happening.

If we sell it would more than likely be in the range of 15 mill ,end of.

Demba Ba is worth 15-20 mill.Maybe more because so many people will be interested.

Carroll is rumoured to be (if) worth 15 -20 if they want him. They wont just through in Ba also.

Ba has a 7m release clause according to uncle Harry.

It wouldnt end up like that at all.

We got 50 for torres

Spent 35 on Carroll,(lets say)

We get(lets say) 15 mill selling carroll

Thats a profit of 30 million. It has been less wages than Torres  for the year and Carroll has more goals than Torres since. Not that bad of business to be honest. We spent 22 on Suarez so that steal almost cancels out misvalue of the Caroll deal.

It would mean that Torres deal woud only be effectively be worth 30 mill. But in its own right that is a good bit of business now.
