The pad will be given time to show he can do a job for us and fans have to be patient and give him that time - he has done well before in the prem and when he gets his form and confidence back then we may well see he scoring goals and being part of a productive team .
Who is old enough to remember Ian Rush when he first arrived ? Nearly went back to Chester because he lost confidence and couldn't buy a goal - he got a break and the rest is history - now before people explode I'm not comparing him to Rush in terms of ability .
Ffs guys give the lad a proper decent chance and show some belief in the management .
And before someone like Bam comes crying in about me beig critical about players like Konchesky , Poulsen etc their situation was totally different - the other end of their career .

I'm old enough to remember Ian Rush and yes he went 7 or 8 games without scoring towards the end of season 80-81.He did look a little ungainly at times but for a third division player who was 19 it was his potential was obvious for all to see.......When David Johnson got injured at the beginning of the following season Ian Rush came in and scored for fun and looked comfortable in the team...he was just about to turn 20 years old...the potential was not only obvious it was unfurling before our eyes

I dont care what the club says in public, they will be gutted with Carroll having put that money on him, I mean who wouldnt be. They bought this lad to make a difference, to have an impact, but hes not delivered. I think everyones frustrated with him and its like noose round the clubs neck until he starts playing some football and doing a job. We cannnot allow another year to run on with him on the sidelines and not performing as we need to get back in that Champs league. If he doesnt show us something between now and the end of the campaign I can see the club having to bite the bullet and cut him loose.

Kenny believe's there is time to allow players to nuture and develop - remember his comment when we bought him " 5 years not 5 months " .
The world hasn't changed - the attitude and demands for instant success from fans has changed - if a player doesn't give instant performances , they must be offloaded . Thank god Kenny is bringing a bit of reality and sense back into the club .
Time for paitence

He had no confidence in himself or his abilities and he looked like a lame duck playing for the ressies and he wanted to leave .
