Planning on making a curry at home for tonight and bought a jar of "Bhut Jolokia" sauce to stick in it.

I'd never heard of the Bhut Jolokia chilli but the label says it one of the hottest you can get, I've just googled it and it turns out its the infamous "ghost" chilli.

After watching this fella suffer I'm deffo having second thoughts about eating it, I'm thinking maybe I shouldn't just stick with a balti  :sniffle

Anybody in here ever tried this "ghost" chilli ?

That's for sure, you will probably enjoy it while you are eating and wonder what all the fuss was about. Then the next morning you will be begging forgiveness and swearing eternal fealty to anyone who can deliver you from flames of hell as you sit on the bog  :D

Go for it

Uhh, based on that video I'd give it a miss, Woof. :D  I love hot dishes to a point but then it's just heat and nothing else.  But this thing looks likes on another order yet.  No point eating something to requires a trip to Emerg! :O

:laugh: the 'after thirty minutes' part if incredible :laugh:

so you've put a whole jar of that sauce into a curry? Sounds deadly mate

If you do decide to eat it can you make a similar video to that guy
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Well I've got the curry on a slow simmer now and you need to wear a bio hazard suit when you go anywhere near the kitchen  :sniffle .

Mrs Woof is doing her crunch 'cause the flat smells like it's been fumigated with sulphuric sh'ite. She's already looking at takeaway menus which signals that muggins (me) is gonna have to go solo on this one.  :(

Thank christ I'm using the sauce and not the fresh chilli, one of the "Ghost Chilli" websites says
Pepper Warning!!!

When handling the Bhut Jolokia:

    * WEAR GLOVES
    * CLEAN HANDS THOROUGHLY
    * DONT TOUCH ANY BODY PARTS(esp face)
    * USE A VERY SMALL AMOUNT (of the pepper)

I'd almost suggest even wearing eye protection when your blending and boiling the sauce.

:wwww
