is it possible that fernando mite do a tevez and rooney and change his mind and see that we are buying players to get us back were torres wants us to be,,, we hav as big an ambition than he does, stevie take him aside and tell him hes feckin stayin so get used to it.

Can anyone actually see us signing anyone today? Surely the Adam deal is not dependant on Torres?

Pay Newcastle the 35M they want for Carroll and get him signed up. We are getting great (inflated) money for Torres as that is what you have to pay in the January window. If we wait until the summer then we might get Carroll for a bit less £20M - £23M but if Torres was to stay then we would likely get £35M - £40M for him. All relative really.

Carroll is injured but I don't think long-term. Suarez and Carroll upfront would be a right handful and they would more than cover the goals Torres would have scored. The ball will 'stick' upfront more and that can only be good for the likes of Gerrard and Meireles to run on too.

Newcastle are absolutely right to hold out for top dollar for their star man as he, like Adam at Blackpool, will have a huge impact on their survival chances in the EPL.

No. Blackpool want £10M for him and we have offered £8M.
