Taxi for Torres - judas fecks off to chelsea

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

The rumour doing the rounds now is that Liverpool are asking for £50 million plus Anelka in exchange. I can't see this being a long term solution Anelka is nearly 32 NESV said they would sign young players. Chelsea/City reject Sturridge isn't the answer and neither is Anelka. We should be holding out for more than £50 million if Anelka is being thrown in. If Chelsea have so much money make them pay £70 milion.

Yeah rince them. Given how late in the day it's coming they should by default pay more.

I would laugh if we got 70 million

He should NOT go to another EPL team.

If he wants a transfer fine, we wait until a team come in from abroad.  Selling to a top 4 competitor is madness.

Agreed, dont sell a player of his calibre to a rival team, because make no mistake, it WILL come back round to bite us in the arsenels.

Agree completely, No old Pro/Anti stuff should be involved in this discussion.

there is people on here with their own agenda and it will always remain so.
if they want someone to blame try the guy who handed in the written transfer request.

No news is ominous if you ask me. Usually a statement would be made to squash this kind of sh*t. Hasn't happened. I only hope the club decide to f*ck Chelsea over in this by not sanctioning the deal. Torres can go in the summer to someone else other than them b"stards if he wishes.

This....

If he stays and signs a new contract id be happy but he must be feeling like :censored: now if all this agent stuff is true. His image and reputation is all in tatters this morning.

Kenny, Stevie and Carra have been trying to turn him around  all day.

Surprised madrid haven't offered.  I know he said he'd never go, but still surprised.  They need a striker and they would be willing to give a lot plus benzema.  40 million plus Benzema.  I'll take it! :p

You guys are kidding right? I'm sure that Torres will leave whether we like it or not. The thing that I dont know is whether he'll leave now or in the summer. I'd want him to stay untill the end of this season but idk what will happen. Anyway, the most I thought we'll get is 50 mill and that's being optimistic and now we are being offerd 50 mill plus a player? Torres hasent been his best for more than a year and 50 mill plus a player is a great offer for someone who's injury prone and off form for a longer period.

Anyway I'd like it if we get Anelka simply becouse he can play as a lone striker and I can see a better partnership between him and Suarez than with Sturidge. Yes, he's a bit old and Sturidge's young and English, but I still think that we can use Anelka more than Sturidge.

Well they could have at the least not waited till less than a week to go to make a marquee signing. Getting Suarez in as soon as the window opened might have shown more intent.

Im happy we have Suarez now but if FSG don't start getting others in fast it will only be a matter of time before talk of Pepe wanting away starts up and tbh id consider losing him as bad if not worse than Torres.

come on, bav. the suarez signing has been dragging on since the opening of the window, as have the sagas with other less glamorous transfer targets.

that is a worrying thought losing pepe.he is by a country mile the best keeper in the prem and the only other player i would hate to see leave.
but should he decide to follow fernantoerags suit and doesent want to play for us then he has to go also.
i hope it never happens but if it does then so be it.
we need player's who are here for the cause not untill a better offer comes in.until we rid ourselves of these hanger on's we will never amount to much.

I can understand the Anelka thing. I know he is a bit. Old but he knows what the premiership is all about and would probably fit in quite easily.  50 mill on top means we can stregthen the team in the summer with some big buys!  Anelka would be a short term thing but he is quality
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

@TonyEvansTimes: All quiet on Torres front. Club adamant no sale on.

If Anelka was part of any deal I'd rather they pay more cash and Anelka on loan until the end of this season as he's not a long term answer imo.
