Would it be wise to build a team around him, when he's injured for half a season?

Last season was his season of injuries - there is no way we should sell him IMO - he is the sort of player we need to compete not look to sell - to replace his goals would cost us a lot of money and who would we replace him with ?

Well we could replace him with Cardozo and we'd still have money left over on another decent player.  That's only if Torres wants to leave though.

Not fit enough to lace torres boots mate - torres is the best striker in the world imo and you dont sell him .

I wouldn't say so judging by their recent form.

And I would put Torres's form down to the tactics employed .

Good point, although Torres of last couple of seasons would have buried those sitters in the last few matches. Like I said I'd sell him only if he doesn't want to be at this club anymore.

Bull SH!T  Anything to blame the manager huh?   Torres has missed a boatload of chances recently.  And lets be honest, if you look at the types of goals Torres scores most of them are on the break and a result of longballs being played to him.  And this is going back over his entire LFC career.

He's either lost a yard of pace that he still has to work back to get due to his injuries or he needs a boot up his backside to work harder, end of.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

Suggest you both go and watch the tactics we employ especially away from home where he is really struggling .

Long balls played to his head - not over balls played from midfield over the top turning defenders into the channels - the type he thrives on - the long balls are being hoofed from the cbs at head height expecting torres to challenge in the air .

He also spends most of the game isolated upfront with the midfielders a good 20 to 30 yards away from him leaving him to plough alone up front with no support at all

why are the midfielders sitting so deep if they havent been told too .

Its the exact tactics Hodgson used at Fulham - long balls from cbs or deep midfielders up to Zamora asking him to hold the ball up - that is not how Torres plays and it doesnt take a rocket scientist to work that out . Our only win away from home has come from a goal from him , at home the team sits a bit higher and closer to torres - just look at his goals against chelsea - balls played to his feet to let him turn a defender .

Ask yourself why do the players sit so deep away from home if they arent being told too and then ask who is telling them to and then ask yourself how that plays to the strengths of the best striker in the world .

I blame Torres' poor form on three things.  Euro 08, Confederations Cup 09 and a race to be fit (which failed) for the World Cup.  Simple, he's knackered and hasn't been fully fit in nearly a year now.

You go on and blame the manager if it makes you feel better Benny, Whatever helps you sleep at night mate. :p

Benny that is absolutely spot on. Only thing i'd add to is even though the tactics are awful and not suited, the effort coming from torres looks poor!

This, as Liverpool fans we can not legislate for. He cant pick and choose when he's gonna be arsed to perform.

Never, has this club been about players. Its always ben a team collective. In the 70-80's Utd, spurs etc had the superstars. We had the medals and the team cameraderie.

Hodgson will be gone shortly, but we need Torres to wanna play for the new manager and not the sulking one we have now.
