I've just made a lovely plum crumble with the plums off my tree and a smaller plum and blueberry crumble using some of the blueberries off the bush in my front garden. I'm not sure which too try first or whether to have it with double cream or with custard....

too late ;  tried a bit of both using double cream....I'm an excellent cook if I don't say so myself....just the correct amount of cinnamon sugar was used to complement the sweet taste of the plums...even the topping using cinnamon and oats was sensational on the palate....god I'm good :buttrock

I'm no grammatical genius

What do you think?

I agree, there are two glaring grammatical errors there alone.

Helpful as always Neil. Point is I read my posts and edit them if I see something wrong with them. Some people just type and post them, and you have to read them 3 or 4 times to work out what they're trying to say, when a quick review would make them much more readable.

Just in case anyone is confused; the topping was made with 150 grams of plain flour,150 grams of unsalted butter,125 grams of oats,125 grams of demerara sugar and a few pinches of cinnamon.... :nod

There's your problem right there, mate.  If the point's not clear on the first pass, move on...it obviously wasn't worth reading anyway.  :D

Sounds delightful, some people add a crumbled digestive. Have you used a cinnamon stick or the processed ground stuff?
