Well said Parchpea
we ALL want him to stay, but some on here are burying their heads in the sand thinking everything's fine with Nando.
I think we have major problems there and Id sooner the club gave him an ultimatum now; either tell him hes under contract and hes going nowhere or put him up for sale and move on and give RH a bit of time to recruit some decent players.

Agree 100% Red
But I think going by Roys statements things are not going as well as hed hoped.
It will be a body blow if he wants away, but we will get over it.

I think they have done enough talking now to be honest and Torres should either get his backside into work and knuckle down or put in a transfer request and move on. No one at Liverpool FC should have to get on hands and knees and beg the lad to stay. With the training camp arranged Hodgson interrupted the tour to nip to Madrid and make sure hes ok and that, along with Purslow.Since then weve had word of further conversations with Purslow and frankly its enough talking now.I think Hodgson has said as much today, the talking and fussing about him is done with and we wont be doing anymore because the club is not Torres bitch infact on the contrary.

I dont think anyone is burying there heads in the sand mate , regarding this, We all know Fernando asked last season before he signed an extension that he wanted guarentees about new investment and money , and you know were i stand on that, i dont need to say nothing more , We said ages ago that if new investment wasnt found or the club sold , some of our players could be wanting out, We dont know whats going on with this and maybe he has started to ask questions like we have, maybe he has beenlied to like we have, Ill be terrified if he goes an i mean that because it will be so hard to replace the same quality, and yes i wish we all knew what he was doing , but im looking at he is still got a contract and a long one at that, and no tranfer request has been put in , The media have been seculating for months on him now and he has not said anything different, As i said if he goes questions should be asked . and answrd truthfully by him WHY .

I just think that things within the club have changed so much since last season he should at least give another seasons commitment.
The supporters deserve it.

I agree . We do derserve it ,

Still worrying for me as i said that its Christie doing the talking.  Im just hoping that the minute he gets back to Melwood , Roy gets in his ear and he puts everyone straight .just like Stevie did when he came back

I think he will stay, because over all he's a decent fella and he'll give us another year. I also think though that the very least he is having a little think about leaving, and wieghing up his options.

whether he stays or not we still need a couple of strikers. You know what u may laugh but crouchy wasnt given enough time and how we miss him now. Least he gives u options. Would anyone take him back now not as a replacement for nando obvioulsy but as an impact sub or whatever?

He will stay, because the 2 teams that he would go to (Barca and Chelsea) will not bidding for him. Barca can't afford him outright and Ancelotti has already said he won't be pursuing him. Bad world cup or not Torres would cost at least 70Mil, it's an eye watering amount and since he has 4 years on his contract the advantage is with us. He doesn't really have any option but to stay unless he wants to sell out to City.

I don't know what everyone is getting worked up about. He said before the final he would talk about his future once he is back from his holidays.

To be honest I don't think that making us wait until 2 weeks before kick off is good enough or acceptable.
There's only one answer he can expect and that's telling him hes going nowhere.

 Shut it you, im talking about this,
The papers have been gutted theve had nothing negative to write about us for a week now , but watch there gonna be going into overdrive with this there gonna be made up, What Does Roy mean Torres has  issues with the club, Thats the questions there gonna be asking all fecking week now,

On Torres
"Unfortunately, I cannot do much more. His beef is with the club and not me,"

'No, but Christian Purslow (managing director) might be able to if you got hold of him. 'I haven't spoken to him for the last two days; he's been travelling back from Spain where he's been on holiday. 'His holiday has also been taken up a lot of time by discussions with Fernando and his people, so I'm afraid the only person who can give you the type of details you require is Christian. It would be wrong of me to say too much.'
