Taxi for Torres - judas fecks off to chelsea

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Not sure what the score is with Torres or Mash as we never seem to get to the bottom of anything. If hes talked to Torres all the lad has to do is telll Hodgson hes staying and then we all move on ready for pre season but that clearly has not happended so we are in limbo. As for Mash, apparently his phones turned off so despite Hodgson calling and sending texts hes not replied the cheeky :censored: that he is. I mean Hodgsons tried to defend him but for ffs if a clubs paying you big money you have to have the courtesy to speak when they ask you to. Honestly they are just too soft with these boys chasing after them like theres no other footballers on the planet. Kuty came out and said he was staying prior to the World Cup semi final, no messing, its not difficult. The not for sale angle to me now looks like they are inviting offers and testing the waters. If Torres and Mash cant come out and say they are here to stay then that now tells me they are looking to move. Honestly its a farce the whole thing.

Liverpool have been handed a boost with the news that Fernando Torres could be fit for the start of the new season.

The Spanish FA confirmed earlier on Wednesday that Torres suffered a grade one tear to his groin in Sunday's World Cup final with Holland

What worries me is not that he'll be fit in 20 days, what I'd like to know is if it's the same leg and the same muscle. That's what worries me.

Yeah he's suffered with adductor problems a few times since being at Anfield.

Thing is that now we actually have a couple of options for backup, under Rafa I think Torres was rushed back because we relied on him so much and with him being a lone striker he took a lot of kicks and had too much work but now hopefully he'll have a strike partner and also be allowed to return when he's ready and not 2 weeks too early like before.

What options? Jovanovich? Hodgsen has already said he is more of a wide player than anything. And that Remey hasn't signed yet.

It was all going well until this point .

I remember old Purslow chatting to FiveLive last november the day LFC beat United 2-0 at Anfield.

He told Garry Richardson of the BEEB that Rafa "wouldn't be sacked even if the title didn't end up at Anfied in 09-10".

Has anyone since seen hide or hare of old Purslow since about late January time when he said Rafa's position wasn't being discussed after the cup defeat to Reading?
Mr Silent Christian Purslow who'll never talk about Rafa leaving. It says it all.

Purslow was probably discussing the current state of affairs in regards to the sale of the club. I honestly think if we are going to be sold in the not to distant future then Fernando will stick around.

But Purslow didn't say that Rafa wouldn't be sacked if we finished 7th and got knocked out of all of the cups early. Get some perspective.

I think we need to take a punt on giving Torres a decent time without training at all, perhaps a month. But that also carries a danger, with clubs lurking and wishing to sell him so knowing where he is would be advantageous ie at training at least you know where he is, give him time off and he would doubtless spend it in Spain
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer
