3-4 weeks is what i've heard which should mean him being back just in time for the arsenal game. whether he'll be fully fit or not is another matter.

MADRID (AP) — Spain's Football Federation says Liverpool and World Cup-winning Spain striker Fernando Torres has ruptured a muscle in his left thigh.

In a statement on its website the federation says Torres had a magnetic resonance scan on Tuesday at the Cemtro de Madrid Clinic and evidence was found of "a Grade 1 muscle fiber rupture in the left thigh."

Torres struggled to make the World Cup after missing the end of Liverpool's season with right knee injuries and looked sluggish in South Africa.

He pulled up shortly after coming on during extra time of Sunday's 1-0 win over the Netherlands in the final.

Cadena Ser news network said Wednesday the scan results would be sent to Liverpool and it was unlikely Torres would play before the new season starts next month.

Rafa has left so there is less chance he'll end up on the right side of midfield...................

???

i guess my laziness in using capitals is confusing you.
i'm talking about Real fans.
i.e. fans of Real.
i.e. fans of Real Madrid.
i.e. fans of the territorial rivals of athletico madrid
etc etc  etc

And what top striker are we going to buy for the 6Mil we will probably get from the transfer. James :censored: Beattie? How about Emile Heskey?

If Torres can stay fit for 90% of the season, and the rest of the team can rediscover the 08/09 form... we could surprise many people and challenge for the title.

i know its a lot of IFs but it could happen.

We definitly shouldn't sell him though.  Even if he plays 50% of our games he'll still bag 20 goals

I have confidence that he will decide that we need another striker regardless of Torres staying or not.
