t'aint true. apparently some lazy researcher copied it from wikipedia without checking. wikipedia has since been fixed and the only places you'll find the reference is on forums like this one.

was a great prank though.

That's funny as well! Just shows the power of Wikipedia, and the need to question anything that comes from it. Bellend, haha, I just believed it! :laugh:

Amazingly this hasn't been changed on the official Presidency of South Africa website. In fact theres a long list of people who've been awarded the Gold award in The Order of the Companions of OR Tambo including Kofi Annan and Mahatma Ghandi!!
