Masch might go...but i think we'll deal with it. Defensive holding midfielders are 10 to the penny in Europe and we'll have no problem replacing him with HALF of the fee we'll get for him.

Mascherano's one of the best defensive midfielders in the world. He's probably the best midfield tackler in the world. 10 a f'ucking penny? Huh?

If we do get the money to reinvest and, let's face it, that is the mother of all if's, who are we going to bring in to replace him? Who are these world class players that will be lining up to join Liverpool, the team selling off all their assets and preparing for EL football next season??

Jérémy Toulalan or Lassana Diarra between £10-£15m if we sell Masch for £25-£30m???

I wasn't too impressed with Toulalan the other night. Diarra could be a good option though especially as Real want rid of him.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

I think the most drastic change we are seeing at the Club is the loss of our Identity ,we are  slowly drowning in a sea of mediocrity and the designated   spokesmen for our Great Club are devoid of any endearing traits that would appear visible ,and are so out of touch with the fans that  its truly frightening that these despicable creatures  are the figureheads for Liverpool Football Club .................... Our Club is so rife with deceit and hidden agendas that it is becoming almost as unbearable to listen to as the din from the horns in South Africa .....

The latest insult being the  ignorance or complete denial of the current hierarchy to accept Dalglish as the fans choice ... I think the owners need to go post haste ,but in all likelihood its becoming painfully apparent they are digging their poisonous fangs ever deeper into the Club we love ...................... at least they could credit the supporters with enough intelligence and accept we now know Purslow and the other f*cking Hooray Henry have been drafted in with the specific intention to deflect a large proportion of the animosity felt for the hideous Yanks on to their skinny inept shoulders .................... and that's what hurts the most that these gobs hites are proposing that they speak for Liverpool Football Club and its legendary supporters .....  :(   So to answer the thread starters question
WE ARE CATEGORICALLY WITHOUT QUESTION FUCKED
we have had a real job done on us by two smiling assassins who have treated this great club with as yet unequalled contempt ..

I'd be really sorry to see him go, but if he did then I do think defensive mid is an easier position to plug than say if we lost our main striker in Torres or our main creative player in Gerrard.

I'd go along with that, Masch was absolutely fantastic from January onwards and I'd be very sorry to see him go however, whilst players of his ability are NOT ten a penny, defensive-mids (in general) aren't particularly hard to find. the truth is in an attacking team like Barcelona a player like Masch is worth his wait in gold, stick him in a side full of attacking players and his qualities really come to the fore. However, put him in a far more pragmatic line-up and style of play (as has been the case at LFC) and I think his value diminishes somewhat. I'm just hoping that if he goes (and we get a good price) then he will be the only big name to leave the club. If he has a good World Cup and Rafa comes back in for the lad I'd hope we can get £22-25 million for the lad.

i'm curious as to what that statement is based on. I've met very few reds who want Daglish as our next long term manager.

I'd be sorry to see Mash go behind Reina he was our best player last season and one of few who seemed to play with fire in his belly, that's his nature though. He is a quality DM.

As for Yossi, well I wouldn't be bothered if he left.

We are going to have to carry on staying a float like we have done recently (in terms of football) until we get new owners, I'm sure this team though can finish above seventh. Until then it's bide our time until the yanks fark off.
Football is a relatively simple game and Roy knows it ;)

I base it simply on the impression that around Liverpool and indeed Anfield   the majority of supporters would select Dalglish in a veritable heartbeat  (and it would also be equally helpful if you could endeavour to spell the mans name correctly  ??? ) finally in my post I don't recollect mentioning any appointment on a  long term basis  ???

If our Chelsea supporting chairman listens to the press as he implied, wouldn't Dalglish be our manager then ??? on a short term basis :D
