The Alonso Thread - hands in transfer request

I have no intention of continuing the argument but I think there are misconceptions AND LIES that need clearing up.

1/ No one asked me to open a thread about Bam , just as no one asked me to open a thread about Dawson. I like both posters and thought the site was a worse place without them.

2/ Bam had not asked me to say anything, and had not told me why he left ..... hence I said:-
I am not sure exactly why Bamaga man decided to cancel his account

I had MY OWN IDEAS why he left...... based on what I had READ on the forum and information from ANOTHER SOURCE which is why I added :-
I also know that a couple of long standing posters on here should be regretting their actions, but I sincerely doubt that they will. Where there is no sense there is no feeling, so f.uck them too.

MY IDEA MY RESPONSIBILITY NOT BAM's and if you don't believe me just ask SUPERSUB.

So a nice little conspiracy theory Sabre but in reality a pack of lies and misconceptions.

Once we've finished with the personal interchange, we can follow up with the ongoing topic .

The Specialist wrote:'Juventus are Juventus, the most prestigious club in Italy, but you cannot be disappointed when you play for Liverpool.'

Hmmm. Does anyone think the Juve move could still happen down the line? Like if they came in with a proper bid for Alonso, he would try and make the move happen?

hmmm.. thanks xabi  :glare:

I think it's inevitable that Alonso will leave by the summer.

Thanks Badbob for opening this thread again.

Well, I've been reading alot of tabloids about Alonso's prefering a move to Juve,  then today I read that Barcelona would get him if Yaya Toure leaves. Now I think, unfortunately, Benitez is still prepared to sell him given the asking price. I don't want him to leave, he is hitting top form right now and I do think he will keep it that way (hopefully). However, I see this is alonso's last year at anfield  :(  I hope I'm wrong now.

I think he is key to how good we can really be this season.  I'm still not convinced he should start ahead of Masch cause i'm kinda expecting him to lose his form.   BUT if he stays on form and plays how he has been playing he should be playing with Stevie more often than not.  I don't think Rafa sees it this way though and i'm pretty sure Rafa rather go with a more defensive minded player such as Masch or Barry.  I don't think Barry is the proper replacement either.  Losing him could hurt us next season unless we find a good enough replacement.

any good replacements like xabi ( same type of player)? I can think of a few, Pirlo for instance, but Xabi is a better defender.

Xavi isn't a defencive midfielder like Xabi is, Xavi is more like Paul Scholes.

Frings? hmm.. no, not similar to Xabi Alonso, doesnt have the same level of vision or passing like Xabi. Frings reminds me of Hamann, but Hamann is better.

Don't be so sure mate. I've just come from training, let me have a lil dinner, and I'll translate an interview he has done for a local newspaper.

Quite simply, I think it's up to the club -Rafa- to keep Xabi.

I prefer he stays, but if he has to leave, I hope Liverpool gets a good money. I'll bring you the interview later.

Yeh thats what Im saying Sabre, I don't think Alonso will stay because Rafa still wants to sell him for the right price.

GYBS, I wouldn't mind Xavi, but its unrealistic, he would be perfect with Gerrard.

Juventus are switching their sights on Liverpool's midfield.

After ruling out a move for Xabi Alonso because of his lack of pace, Tuttosport says Juve coach Claudio Ranieri is now keen on Liverpool's Brazilian youngster Lucas Leiva.
