The performance at Fulham in the first half summed it all up with him in the engine room  Lucky we had Alonso on the bench, that guy his class and i would not have Diao cleaning his boots, never mind playing with him.

FAO Raph Benitez......... Diao to The Peasants in January Please!!!!

I think Diao had a poor game even by his standards and can show much better than that. But he's still nowhere near LFC calibre and the sooner we offload him the better.

Woollyback

Your comments raise the question as to why Raf played him in the first place, doesn't he listen to you? :D

Well Kindaconfused, you've actually managed to come out with an almost worthwhile post. Almost, but not quite. Why did Rafa play Diao from the start? Dunno whether he sees something in him that a lot of us don't or whether he just wanted to see him in a competitive game. Either way he was cr*p.

And do I speak to Benitez? No. Do you?

Benitez has made 2 mistakes so far this season , the first away at Bolton playing a 5 man midfield and last Saturday playing Diao.......However he is unlikely to make the same mistake twice which is the sign of a good manager... :D

Benitez played Diao to rest Alonso but he couldn't risk another loss on the road so he brought on Alonso.

I don't think we have seen the best of Diao, he looks so rusty when he plays.

He needs a long run playing first team, maybe in the championship till january.

We do not have time anymore to test players out, its too late. Diao has no future here at Anfield.

I also think that it is too late for Diao, but I don't think he been given the right opportunity to show his best.

But its irrelevent now.
