Sorry but anyone who thought that Konchesky played worse than and cost us more than Torres is...well you can guess.

Reina - 7
Johnson - 7 (Coped well with Bale)
Carragher - 7 (A rock)
Skrtel - 7 (Goal)
Konchesky - 5 (One major mistake, a costly one but one nevertheless. Carragher would of taken the red against Lennon)
Kuyt - 7 (Energetic, useful)
Lucas - 7 (Workhorse)
Meireles - 8 (MOM)
Maxi - 6 (Wasted chances)
Ngog - 6.5 (Did nothing wrong but also did nothing good other than hold up the ball. Torres needed him though.)
Torres - 4 (I despair, sadly a man who doesn't want to be here anymore)

Subs:
Aurelio (Ngog) - 5
Krygiakos (Carragher) - 5

Sorry but when you have 2 clear cut chances, in the way of a 1 on 1s, and don't even get a shot away, he has no defence whatsoever.

For me he was the single reason we didn't win yesterday.

I thought Torres had a good game yesterday.  The misses were bad but thats happens strikers at times.  That pass to put Maxi through was beautiful.  His chances weren't as simple as Maxi's one was.

No, so did Maxi, but their movement and passing were really good yesterday which we created chances from. We missed clear cut chances yes, it happens. Torres' movement yesterday was terrific, those two chances he had was created through his movement off the ball.

I don't disagree. But my comment still stands -

For me he was the single reason we didn't win yesterday.

Unlike Maxi he is expected to score those chances, they were bread and butter opportunities. Clean through with only the keeper to beat, come on...

Torres will bounce back, but yesterday it was those misses that ultimately cost us. He could be forgiven for missing one of them but he missed all of them and worst still he didn't even get a single shot off.

Reina - 6
Johnson - 6 ,good defensive work on the expense of supporting the attack
Carragher - 6 ,heroic save
Skrtel - 5 ,typical we have to wait decade for him to score and then he scores an own goal.
Konchesky - 4 ,just nothing poor game ,predictable game.
Kuyt - 5 ,more and more it seems that his good days are behind him
Lucas - 6 ,held the midfield well supplied some nice deep crosses
Meireles - 7 ,active sharp involved .nice tries from distance
Maxi - 5 ,not focused ,terrible miss ,not consistent.
Ngog - 6 ,was very lively held the ball well
Torres - 4 ,heavy ,clumsy ,not interested poor game.

Subs:
Aurelio (Ngog) - 5 ,if this is our attacking sub oh well...
Krygiakos (Carragher) - 5 hysterical header which led to the goal

Roy - 7 ,Overall good game ,good tactics ,his game plan worked as a clock ,his players let him down.

Correct me if I am mistaken ......... but  I was under the impression this thread  was just meant as a gauge to determine a players performance over the course of a season ,not a vehicle for the thread starter to argue against the scores given by other posters ,or debate the ability of a player in that specified game ..... am I wrong  ? ...its just there is enough arguing in other threads without this being corrupted also .....
