Oh well, nice to see the boys. I do see why people compare Jonjo to Gerrard.

Roy has a bit of work to do before we play the Europa Cup qualifier. Shame the Al Hilal game was called off, we could have done with that I think.

You don't think any of them out there ever will?  I think Ayala, Pacheco, Shelvey and Kelly have a good chance.

From the ones who played today, i liked Kelly, Darby, Ayala..

Also though Cavalieri, Gulasci Ngog, Degen and Aquilani did well...

Amoo, Spearing, Shelvey, Lucas all not good enough yet..

Everyone else doesnt seem to have anything yet... The likes of Ecclestone, Robinson, Irwin..etc

We played a bit sh!t I won't lie, but we played some of our worst players so no big deal.  Spearing shouldn't be anywhere near the first team unfortunately, and Lucas did absolutely nothing the entire game.  Both played a huge part in why we were so bad, we never controlled the game, ever.  I'd like to see Shelvey start the next match with Aquilani behind N'gog and Riera on the left.

Yeah I didn't see anything from Lucas to convince me that he's improved, looked like the same player from last season.  I think Shelvey has a certain confidence about him that you don't see in most players, nevermind Lucas and Spearing.  He looks comfortable on the ball and showed some good vision, but he made a lot of bad decisions at the same time too so he still has a lot to learn.
