Damn I really hope so. Then we wont have to spend all those silly money on Carroll. Anelka will do fine untill the end of the season.

One thing that has not been mentioned... maybe we are spending big on Carroll in order to keep Torres? showing this kind of power will certainly show him that we are going places.

SSN are about to reveal something at Newcastle, with no signs the Torres deal is anywhere near agreed this could indicate the purchase of Carroll with funds provided by the board on top of Suarez and not including any fee for Torres.

It is looking on the quiet as if we will also capture Charlie Adam....

Another bothering point in all this Saga is that our weakest link which is the Defence has NOT been enforced...With all due respect to all the high flying Attackers Virtualy signing in Liverpool our Defence is Pis$ poor. I would have at least have gone after a good defensive player (CB/FB/CM)...
