Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

If this does indeed turn out to be true all we can do is put our faith in the manager and that he has made the right call for the football club. I would trust him to be doing what he feels is in our best interests moving forward by completely reshaping this team without Torres.

:censored: it if we get £50 million and Anelka on loan til the end of the season plus get Suarez, N'Zogbia and Adam signed and have spare cash then I'd be happy enough, no player is bigger than the club.

I think it's a load of :censored: though.

I don't believe the rumours... let's see... if Torres were wanting to move away he would've done it in the summer when things were looking far more doom and gloom. Twit and :censored: not investing in the team. Us hiring Hodgson. Then Hodgson making Torres a target man. He was extremely unhappy. But he came out and said that he is dedicated to the club.

So now... We got new owners who are willing to improve the team. They said it themselves that improving the team is a priority and the stadium comes later. Then Hodgson was sacked and Kenny, who clearly Torres respects, came in. We are starting to play passing football and Torres has started to score goals again. And we are now linked with the right calibre of players like Suarez in the Winter window. I'm sure there will be more to come in the Summer. LFC has started to look once again like an exciting project. Why would Torres want to move now if he didn't force it in the summer?

Having said that, it becomes more crucial now that we sign Suarez. It will show Torres that we are willing to invest in the team and improve the team. We need to show our star players that "promises" are kept. Otherwise we will lose them all, not just Torres.
